Practices of Elections Officials

As California’s chief elections officer, the Secretary of State is responsible for overseeing all state and federal elections. While the Secretary of State develops information and materials to assist voters, each of the state’s 58 county elections officials also develop materials that are specific to their regions.

Here are some examples of how the Secretary of State and various county elections officials are letting voters know about various rights and responsibilities they have under state and federal law.

This page will be updated as additional information and programs are developed by the Secretary of State and county elections officials.
