Not to endorse hacking of any variety, but the hijinks at Palin and Beck's facebook pages on behalf of the Colbert Rally were easily undone. Well, Beck had it down in less than a minute, it took Palin's people over sixty minutes. What, they had problems reading the message? via The Immoral Minority.

@ The Immoral Minority it really was not a "Hack" per se. Just clever posting an changing of avatars.
Boy will Sarah be pissed when she finds out Levi did it.
I guess being merely a Faux contributor doesn't give you the same team of crack administrators as Faux's star player.

it wasn't a hack. Its odd that it took them so long. I don't use my Facebook accounts much but I think you can just delete any comments you don't like right away. I know its been said but can you imagine how a Palin administration would run the country? They can't even coordinate her schedule or update a facebook page in reasonable time.
This site more than tolerates views that challenge their own, every day, all the time.
Here's over 200 pages of comments over two years that very often do exactly that. And that's just me. And that's just since they required registaration.
That being said, the site-moniters at Crooks and Liars are wonderful folks, being among the most favored of the gods, and who's opinion must never be questioned. Glory and praise be to the Eye of Sauron ;)
also, I didn't see the comment before it was deleted
Still, irrelevant my ass. John Amato just sat down with the President. No, it wasn't earth changing (Why no questions on War or war crimes, John?), but it's hardly irrelevant.
Peace.

If you didn't see the comment then why bother?
Certain views are allowed, certain views aren't. I'd talk more, but I'll just be deleted.
. . . and I didn't believe it had merit.
That said, I have no clue why your complaint that conflicting views weren't allowed was also deleted. It was apparently deleted while I was typing my reply above.
I got nothing.
Peace.

odd isn't it?
Man , are you into self abuse ? Hope you didn't actually read all of that garbage . LOL
what garbage?
Whoops , was a mistake , the foot in mouth kind , smotviddy .
. . . and the tickle in the back of my throat is my big toe.
I probably shouldn't have wrote anything without reading from the beginning.

I predict that if the Teabaggers' crazy candidates get into office, we'll be awash in ridiculous impeachments and demands for not only birth certificates but DNA tests. And if they DON'T get into office, people will be so upset that the election was "stolen" (Sharon Angle is already talking about that) there will be even more domestic terrorism than there is now, what with the head-stomping going on within campaigns. The "Second Amendment solutions" will be on the table.
We already voted, so it's up to y'all now.
"Courtesy is owed. Respect is earned. Love is given." --Unknown author, found in Guide to Texas Etiquette by Kinky Friedman
What would a totally motivated teabagger be capable of if he was hell bent on destruction?
It's a lousy situation in my book, but that's old news. We've been given a choice between conservative and out and out crazy conservative.
That being said, many of the biggest losers appear to be the ConservaDems (hopefully including Harry Reid). That's not a bad thing even if the Dems lose some seats. Projections I'm seeing are that the Dems will probably keep the Senate and still might keep the House. Even if we lose both, the prospect of teabagger domination is way overblown in my book. There are still the checks of the filibuster and the veto. If the Dems won't counter the teabagger takeover with those then we're screwed with any result.
But the removal of ConservaDems could very well help. Progressive, popular, and mainstream ideas have been taken off the table by a very conservative Democratic leadership. This might be the begining of some change. For a progressive idea to succeed it must first be heard. Democrats have stopped much of that over the past years due to conservative dominance of the party. Lessening that dominance might help at least get our ideas into the game.
But the fight isn't over. Conservative dominance of the Democratic party isn't that easy to shake, and we need to more actively fight it come 2012. And that fight starts now.

Hell ya!
Except regarding Angle vs Harry - we can count on angle voting "Hell no " to every single Democrat initiative for the next two years. I don't think ever Harry is capable of that.
But what special powers does Harry have and who gets those powers if Harry loses?
Should he lose, there would be another party vote (for either Majority or Minority Leader) and seniority rules that I'm not familiar with would have an affect. Those following in line presently: Daniel Inouye (HI), current President Pro Tempore; Dick Durbin (IL),current Majority Whip/Assisstant Majority Leader; Patty Murray (WA), current Democratic Conference Secretary; and Byron Dorgan (ND), current Democratic Policy Committee Chair.
My
partially informedguess is Dick Durbin."Be excellent to each other. And . . . Party on, Dudes!"

"I never understood why the French cut off Marie Antoinette's head. Now I fucking GET IT!" - Lewis Black
but I am so thoroughly disgusted with the current NeoLiberal (Conservative) Democratic Party that if I were in a State without a Green Party candidate, I would be inclined to vote Republican just to help oust NeoLiberal Democratic incumbents. And I have never ever voted Republican before, except in open primaries in order to put a weak loser Rethuglican on the ballot.
I would not, under any circumstances, vote for Harry Reed if I lived in Nevada. But I live in Virginia, and am California bound -- there is no Democratic Party candidate in either State that I would vote for. None. I am convinced that affecting progressive change from within the Democratic Party is no longer possible -- the Corporatists are solidly in control.
And I do not NOT vote ... ever.

"I never understood why the French cut off Marie Antoinette's head. Now I fucking GET IT!" - Lewis Black
I fully expect to get flamed here on C&L for that comment as being either a troll, a Rethuglican, or imbecile. But my eyes are fully open, without blinders, regarding the current state of politics in the USA.
Before the 2008 election (and before registration was required on C&L), I called the political contest between Obama and McCain as "Tweedle-dee vs Tweedle-dum". But I followed my heart instead of my head, and voted for Obama in the election. Unfortunately, my head was correct, after all.
"Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable."

But I suspect you think it's the Dems blocking peaceful revolution. JFK was talking about obstructionists and so were the founding fathers.
Which, if I may speak for David, is I believe the point of his using the quote.
The GOP may be the obstructionists, but the Dems are their enablers.
They do nothing with the majority (and please...let's not have that debate about Lieberman and the Blue Dogs, I've explained my position a thousand times), and do nothing to keep their party in line.

And we thought it was a nightmare / circus before , we have not seen anything yet .The Reich wing / Republicans are out to destroy this country , they don't need her or we the people anymore , their clients markets , their labor force and the money made ... overseas , China , India , Asia , not in the USA . We will become a third world country but the fat cats , the top 4% and their Republican servants will be like Saudi royalty .
Funny how often we need reminding of that.
They need a PERMISSION to do that and they are getting it TROUGH OUR VOTES !

Now I don't mind people practicing there religion. I just don't like it being shoved down our throats.
I but hope canada customs keeps him the hell out.keep him on your side of the border.
people just silhouetted a fish on their car (I found that a little obnoxious too).
I've seen a couple of variations of that one. One had the fish with legs and the other had the fish and inside of it had "n chips".
I made a trip into Canada on my Harley , made it a grand total of about 25 yards across the border , after an hour and a half of waiting in customs and having no idea what was going on , I found out that I was considered a convicted felon, had a DUI almost twenty years ago in the states , 19 years to be exact , long story short I was rejected and kicked out . US customs asked where I was coming from and I pointed and said from the other side of the building . Not a pleasant experience but I guess a deserved one really .
(with his wife and kid in tow). Canada wouldn't let him in after a background check determined he'd been convicted of felony spousal abuse on his first wife. Of course, he hadn't declared that felony on his resume or application either. Interesting/embarrassing scene all around...

I haven't gone to see her mainly because I can't keep her with me for more than a couple of days, then I'd have to take her back. At 12 years of age, it's pretty traumatic to her to come and go. Miss her like hell, but I'm trying to keep her mental well-being the first priority.

Sure has changed since the last time I was there. I just drove to the border and they asked me what I was going to do, and I said "just sightsee for the day", and they waved me through, Must have taken all of 60 swconds.
You should see the total fucking whack-job Xtians roaming around Korea. I was out shopping today and there were two different ones walking around with crosses and megaphones trying to convert heathens, like me.
Earlier this week some other whack-job Xtians went into a Buddhist temple and claimed it for Jesus. They say they were sinful idolaters and put the video on Utube. It's caused quite a stink as Korea is about 40% Buddhist, 40% Christian and 20% no religion. The president is a devout Xtian and not fond of Buddhism. (It was imported here mainly by crazed American missionaries.) It's sort of like a wealth club now. Anyway--- they make me SICK. The real nasty kind.
If only life were as simple as a Michael Bay film. McCain hearts Angle. Yeah, the problem was she was too "liberal". Clinton denies being in the clink for Crist. A Vitter victory. Toyota allegedly brought back crappy cars. Koreas exchange fire at border. School board member who thought gay students should kill themselves resigns.
Did they hack the comments on the page too?
And now for some good news:

how much MONEY those "Prison Corporations" WILL LOSE, if MARIJUANA gets legalized.
So the "Corporate BUTLERS"(aka GOP) will NEVER allow this to happen !

I don't use MARIJUANA, but that don't mean that people should spend SUBSTANTIAL part of their life in prison for something that is "LESS THAN AN EQUIVALENT of getting drunk". I have seen colleagues getting high at work ALMOST EVERY SINGLE DAY and yet doing a work that they would have fucked up IF THEY WERE DRUNK.
But if I lived in California, I would be voting YES on Prop 19, if only because it is a chink in the armor of the Federal fascist police state. Any legislation regarding Medical Marijuana, decriminalization, re-legalization, or any other States Rights issue that helps to defang the Federal fascist police state has my support.
Prohibition 2.0 and the War on Drugs | War on Terror are all unwinnable "eternal" conflicts used to justify their shredding of the Constitution, the rise of the Unitary Executive, and the Orwellian Big Brother Police State -- Corporatism | Fascism is alive and well in the USA.
A public audit of the Federal Reserve as a precursor to its' destruction is the end of the beginning of the return to individual freedom and liberty in this country. Let's get it done ...

Frankly, I don't really care. It'd be funny, but isn't a major concern of mine. I had the pleasure of voting for Prop 19 (which won't pass, as it just doesn't have enough support) not because I support it. I don't use pot and have no intention of using it. I just want to see the federal government FREAK THE FUCK OUT if it does pass. I want to see Obama twist in the wind on that one for being so damned ineffective to date. I also want to see the "small government" assholes claim that they didn't mean smaller government regarding drugs. I want to see all of these jack-asses squirm. That, for me, is why I voted for Prop 19. Too bad I won't get to see it pass, but on the lark, it would make me laugh for days and days.
