On the Issues
Jobs
As Delaware’s Senator, Chris will focus on four areas of job creation: restoring our innovative economy, assisting small businesses, growing our green economy, and rebuilding a viable manufacturing sector.
Economy
Delawareans, as well as the entire country, have felt the effects of the current economic climate. While some argue over the various views of the fundamental causes, Chris wants to focus on the millions of Americans who have suffered.
Education
Improving education is a critical issue for Delaware and our nation. Every student should have the opportunity to receive a quality public education that offers support and training for the jobs of tomorrow.
LGBT Rights
Chris believes that all Delawareans should have the same equal rights—regardless of race, creed, gender, sexual preference, or disability. He will fight for the repeal of the federal Defense of Marriage Act and an end to Don't Ask, Don't Tell.
Reproductive Rights
Chris believes that decisions about a woman’s health, including issues surrounding pregnancy, should be left to her and her doctor. Abortion should remain safe, legal, and rare for women regardless of their financial means.
Seniors
We must be thankful for the numerous contributions that America's seniors have made to lay the groundwork for future generations and we must ensure support for them as they transition into retirement.
Veterans
The military is part of the basic fabric of Delaware and Chris has seen dozens of county employees deployed with the National Guard and Reserve units. Chris will take this experience and continue fighting for America's service members in the United States Senate.
