Bush pushes Pope to promote extremist GOP agenda

The politics of extremism continue and now it's being coordinated between Bush and the Pope. Who needs that stinkin' seperate of church and state thing anyway? If the Vatican wants to be a political organization, fine, let's treat them that way. Tax the bastards.

"Bush said, 'Not all the American bishops are with me' on the cultural issues. The implication was that he hoped the Vatican would nudge them toward more explicit activism."

Mr. Allen wrote that others in the meeting confirmed that the president had pledged aggressive efforts "on the cultural front, especially the battle against gay marriage, and asked for the Vatican's help in encouraging the U.S. bishops to be more outspoken."

"It is just unprecedented for a president to ask for help from the Vatican to get re-elected, and that is exactly what this is," Mr. Lynn said. Linda Pieczynski, a spokeswoman for Call to Action, a liberal Catholic group, said, "For a president to try to get the leader of any religious organization to manipulate his fellow clergymen to support a political candidate crosses the line in this country."

Clinton nostalgia coming with book release

In stark contrast to the go-it-alone strategy of Bush, America will be hearing a lot from Clinton who promoted what I believe is a much more realistic vision of world politics. In the fall, we're going to have the choice between four more years of "with us or against us" policy or a vision of working together with world partners. I really hope that Clinton starts to drive home this point because Americans need to start connecting the dots with the current failed policies of Bush-Cheney. There's no need to go-it-alone when we have so many potential partners out there with the same concerns and the same desire to win the real war on terror. Let's go Bill! Bush Campaign: No Plans to Use Reagan in Ads

Well sure, that might be because they just wrapped up the Bush-Cheney kickoff campaign at tax payers expense. In a completely vulgar display of partisanship, the campaign now has the balls to say that "You have to strike a delicate balance..." Glad they see it that way after they used the WH speech writer to help out. The fact that the terrorists seem to know so much about the people they are attacking suggests that a lot more people support their motives than just the people doing the killing.
