At Tisch no less!

Alicia Keys' hubby and baby daddy, Swizz Beatz, has been named the first producer-in-residence at NYU's Clive Davis Department of Recorded Music at the Tisch School of the Arts in New York!

Students enrolled in the program will get the opportunity to work one-on-one with the acclaimed producer as well as hear him speak at group lectures, songwriting critiques and mentoring sessions.

Rad! What a rare opportunity for some of these kiddies!

Word around La La Land is that a Magnum, P.I. remake maybe headed to the big screen. There are a few big names being considered for the covet part of the dashing Hawaiian private eye, like Ashton Kutcher and Matthew McConaughey, but there is one person who would like to see Tom Selleck return to his iconic 80s role.

Tom Selleck! Ha!

Tom told sources:

"Look, I'm not being egotistical, but 'Magnum' is in about 100 countries. They can't just buy a title and stick some younger guy in it. These things are quite real to audiences."

For one, you're being a tad egotistical. And two, you're audience is going to understand that it's been almost 30 years since you cruised around in that red Ferrari and that its time to fish around in the kiddie section for a new private eye.

You may have felt a slight chill in the crisp air yesterday if you live in Los Angeles. You might have thought that fall had finally descended on us, but in reality, you were feeling the cold breeze from hell as it froze over.

Why? Because Lindsay Lohan agreed to spend time with her father, Michael Lohan.

We never thought the day would come.

For years now, the two have shared an estranged relationship at best, both fighting personal demons as well as their struggle to stay out in of the spotlight. Still, sources are confirming that the father and daughter reunited yesterday as Michael went to visit her at the Betty Ford Clinic.

We're told that Michael arrived at the clinic shortly after 1 PM and the two reportedly spent "hours together" during an "emotional reunion." A source with knowledge of the reunion explained:

"There were hugs, kisses and even a few tears when Michael and Lindsay first saw each other… it was not a fleeting encounter, this appeared well-planned in advance."

We're told the pair decided to go out beyond the confines of the treatment center and did a little shopping at the mall, chatting and perusing in a jewelry store.

Of course, the natural inclination to get more details about the reunion is to go to the source. But Michael has become a man of his word - sorta. When contacted by sources for comment, he replied:

"I have pledged not to comment about anything relating to my daughter. However, what I will say is that I am an incredibly proud father tonight. My daughter is progressing extraordinarily well."

That's good to hear. We haven't heard a real update on her in awhile.

Patching things up with her papa? Getting medical help for her issues? What kind of Lindsay will emerge come the new year?

Awhile back, Rupert Grint had mentioned to Potterheads at a fan event in London that the studio where all the Harry Potter magic happened, Leavesden Studios, was going to turn into a shrine to the movie franchise. Now, we have more details about the project and it doesn't sound like it's going to disappoint!

Sources are confirming that the studio has plans to expand their property, so that they can adequately house the props and sets from the eight Harry Potter movies and put them on display for fans to see. The expansion will allow the studio to still do filming for other projects, but also provide the unique experience of touring some of Harry Potter's more well-known locales.

In fact, the project is going to be so massive that Warner Bros. is stepping in to help the project, which should be available for the public starting mid-2012.

Pretty exciting! Now, there'll be a Harry Potter attraction on two continents - that in London and the Wizard World theme park in Orlando, FL.

Ha. What a surprise!

While in Spain on Sunday, Pope Benedict XVI criticized Spanish laws allowing gay marriage, easier access to abortions and faster divorces.

Benedict was on his way to inaugurate Barcelona's newest basilica, the Sagrada Familia, while 200 gay and lesbian protesters staged a "kiss in." And a few hundred women also showed up to protest their second-class status in the church and the Vatican's opposition to birth control.

He has spoken out several times in Spain because he feels that the country's stance on these social issues will determine the Vatican's influence in Europe.

Benedict added that families are built on the "indissoluble love of a man and a woman," and rallied against abortion adding that "the life of children (must) be defended as sacred and inviolable from the moment of their conception."

Booooo!

22-year-old nursing student Sergi Benavent said that he was participating in the demonstration to oppose those "who want to love in just one way. This is a peaceful demonstration that there are more ways of expressing one's love."

Truly inspirational.

Damn! We would have liked to see him come back!

Although the Academy Awards are still a few months away, sources close to the production of the ceremony have revealed that executive producers Bruce Cohen and Don Mischer are hard at work looking for a person to take on the much-coveted hosting position, and they've already reached out an alum - Hugh Jackman!

Unfortunately, the actor had to turn down the job, because he's currently has his adamantium claws full prepping for production on X-Men Origins: Wolverine II!

Lame!

Hopefully they can get him to do it in 2012, though!
