@sbnbayarea
Either way, 49ers tight end Vernon Davis is at the top of the list and is a definite snub
If the Warriors are going to turn the corner, they'll need to get work done on the road
As the article states, they really should be, and continue to be
The SaberCats are set to kick off in March, 2011, make sure you catch up on their history!
Something definitely isn't right, here. No wonder he wanted to run so much

America's Cup 2013: San Francisco Reportedly Selected To Host
The San Francisco Chronicle is reporting that sources are indicating San Francisco has been selected to host the 2013 America's Cup. The event has yet to make any formal announcement and stated that a decision has not yet been made. Reports indicate that hosting the 2013 America's Cup would provide an economic boost surpassed only by the Olympics and the World Cup. Those numbers can be parsed many ways, but even if that's an exaggeration, reality would still be rather large.
The Bay Area has a significant connection to the America's Cup race as the most recent winner this year, BMW Oracle, is owned by Oracle CEO Larry Ellison. His team is sponsored by the Golden Gate Yacht Club. According to the article, the winning syndicate gets to choose where to defend the Cup and Ellison has indicated he'd love to host the race here in the San Francisco Bay.

Stanford Cardinal Women's Basketball Ends UConn Huskies 90 Game Winning Streak
Tara Vanderveer and the Stanford Cardinal were the last team to beat Geno Auriemma and the Connecticut Huskies women's basketball program before they began their incredible 90 game win streak. And now, just shy of a thousand days later, they're the team that ends it. Stanford took down UConn in Palo Alto, winning 71-59.
Jeanette Pohlen was the hero for the Cardinal women, scoring 31 points on 15 field goal attempts, nailing five threes and making all ten of her free throws, as well as grabbing 9 rebounds and dishing 6 assists. Stanford harassed Maya Moore all night long, making her look extremely mortal--she shot only 5 for 15 and scored 14 points. Connecticut only shot 33 percent from the field and just could not sustain offense for more than two or three consecutive possessions.
Stanford now improves to 9-2 on the season and Connecticut falls to 12-1. Don't be surprised to see these two teams playing again this season ... in the tournament, that is.
After the jump, the Cardinal fanbase shows its spirit, courtesy of bubbaprog on Twitter.

Jim Harbaugh Favorite In Vegas For San Francisco 49ers Coaching Job
The chatter for Stanford Cardinal head coach Jim Harbaugh has continued to grow over the past few weeks, particularly with regards to the Michigan Wolverines job still occupied by Rich Rodriguez (a man who might not coach past his Gator Bowl game). But with Mike Singletary being fired by the San Francisco 49ers, an even sweeter opportunity has emerged for Harbaugh to leverage his success in Palo Alto to a pro football gig.
That chatter seems to be reflected the odds in Las Vegas. Harbaugh is now listed as a two to one favorite (bet one dollar to win two) to be the next 49er head coach. Jon Gruden is listed at +450 (bet two dollars to win nine) and isn't considered a top priority for the Niners, and Bill Cowher is a longshot at +1000 (bet one dollar to win ten). You can see the entire set of odds at BoDog.
However, it should be noted that Vegas has "Any other coach" at -300. So despite the murmurs coming across the league, it still looks like Harbaugh still hasn't quite solidified as a "lock" for the job. (Thanks to Samuel Lam, our old friend at SBN Bay Area for the update)

Tyreke Evans Halfcourt Buzzer Beater Caps Off Crazy Ending To Kings-Grizzlies
So technically SBN Bay Area doesn't cover the Sacramento Kings, but they're close enough, and this is crazy enough for Bay Area fans to appreciate their crazy finish with the Memphis Grizzlies. Tyreke Evans and O.J. Mayo went at each other in the final seconds, and the result seems to make March Madness look pedestrian.
First, the Grizzlies had the ball with a two second differential between the game clock and the shot clock up one; technically the Kings didn't have to foul, although they'd only have two seconds left. But Evans poked it away, raced down the court, and got a breakaway dunk to put Sacramento up.
After Rudy Gay missed a shot, the ball went out of bounds to Memphis. Then Mayo received the ball, stumbled off-balance, dribbled away from the basket...and hit it with 1.5 seconds left. The Grizzlies seemed to then backup to the other side of the court to prevent any catch and heaves.
So Tyreke Evans received the inbounds from DeMarcus Cousins, took one dribble, shot and released...and you can see what happened on the video after the jump.
