Drought

ATTENTION MIDLAND RESIDENTS... the Colorado River Municipal Water District (CRMWD) has reduced Midland's water supply by 20% due to extreme drought conditions.

Beginning July 1, 2011 all businesses and residents MUST comply with a mandatory outdoor watering program which is outlined in the Drought Contingency Plan.

Residents and businesses may only water outdoors two times per week. Outdoor watering is based on residents' physical address.

Addresses ending in even numbers may only water on Saturday beginning at 6 p.m. through Sunday at 10 a.m. and then again on Tuesday beginning at 6 p.m. through Wednesday at 10 a.m.

Addresses ending in odd numbers may only water on Sunday beginning at 6 p.m. through Monday at 10 a.m. and then again on Wednesday beginning at 6 p.m. through Thursday at 10 a.m.

No one should water outside during the hours of 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Residents may track daily water usage by clicking here.

If you see someone violating the Drought Contingency Plan, please report themby calling 685-7410. Do you have water conservation tips to share? Email tips to savewater@midlandtexas.gov.

Anyone who would like to request a valid variance may do so by filling out the Variance Petition Form online. You must save the form to your computer and open it using Adobe if you are using Safari.
