Occupy LA: Day 6 Picks Up Steam With Occupy Colleges In Tow The Occupy L.A. movement continues to gain momentum. Over the past few weeks, hundreds of events sprung up in solidarity with New York’s Occupy Wall Street movement. The gatherings are taking place in metropolitan areas across the U.S., and even internationally.
On Sunday the 9^th, KPFK will do a live broadcast starting at 5pm from Smiley and West’s Poverty Tour event in Los Angeles Melting Pot will be on from 4pm to 5pm, leading into the live broadcast and Folk Scene will return the following Sunday

KPFK Community Advisory Board

KPFK Radio is in the process of formally constituting the Community Advisory Board for our station. This board is charged with making regular assessments of our station’s programming and administrative policies and giving us feed-back on how well we are doing in meeting community needs.
