The National Institute of Justice has released "Research Report Digest, Issue 3," a publication that presents brief descriptions of studies in various criminal justice disciplines, such as criminology and forensic sciences, and evaluations of technologies in the law enforcement and corrections fields.
This most recent bulletin from the Juvenile Offenders and Victims National Report Series, provides the latest overview of state transfer laws and practices as well as examines state-level data on juveniles adjudicated in the criminal justice system. The 3-day training will focus on information and skills participants need to manage resources for their jail operations. Topics will include determining needed resources, drafting budget requests, and developing a resource management plan.
This Bureau of Justice Statistics report presents new annual estimates of arrests in the United States covering the 30-year period from 1980 through 2009. Based on data collected by the Federal Bureau of Investigation's (FBI's) Uniform Crime Reporting Program, this resource expands the FBI's set of published arrest estimates to include offense-specific arrest estimates for various demographic subgroups.
