The Simple Way is a web of subversive friends, conspiring to spread the vision of "Loving God, Loving People, and Following Jesus" in our neighborhoods and in our world.
We've had our first few events on the new greenspace we've created where the fire blazed a few years ago. We had all sorts of Potter Street Camp activities on this new space. We've had potlucks and water wars; we've had drum circles and puppet shows, sang songs and shared communion -- all on this new sacred space. Thanks to all of you who have helped create the park. Check out the photos here.

Donate: We are looking for couches, rugs, coffee maker, electric tea kettle, tables and chairs for our community Gathering space.
We are renovating this community space to be more hospitable to those in need. If you are in or not too far from Philly and would like to donate any of these items please contact AAron. . (include a photo if you can) If not, we encourage you to send gift cards to home stores or a good old regular financial contribution.
Donate: We are looking to construct a tool shed next spring and are needing tools.
So if you have some good tools that haven't been used for a while, we would benefit greatly from them. Gift cards to Lowe's or Home Depot work well also.
Shout-Out: Much thanks to Jarad for his willingness to donate a computer to one of the students from the neighborhood at Eastern University
Volunteer: We have a wide range of volunteer opportunities currently available.
If you're interested in volunteering with the simple way please contact Grace.
Donate: Food, Gift Cards for groceries, or Money for food
We still have about 70 families who come regularly to get food. Sometimes we forget to mention the routine things we do every month -- thanks for helping be the hands of provision for "this day our daily bread" for families here in the neighborhood. Every run we make to the food bank we get about 500 pounds of food. That's a lot of grub, thanks for making it happen.
