I remember watching 60 mins. that night, and thinking God I love that old man. Pun intended.

I appreciate Mr. Rooney's take on religion. I was raised by two life-long atheists. They took my sister & me to the local Unitarian church, to give us some exposure to moral teachings without any demand that you believe anything in particular. My sister is now growing in her sort-of general spirituality & I have been a lifelong seeker, trying to understand certain intuitive gifts I was clearly born with. My nephew has them too. My grandmother was a clairvoyant. I found I needed to leave my family and moved to California to find 'my own kind' which I did. I deeply respect my parents' atheism, and we have come to peace about the direction my life took-me accepting their lack of interest in what is central & core for me, and their accepting I'm never gonna be what they wanted or expected. Andy, I hope you're dancing in the starlight with all your pals! Or whatever it is that atheists do after they die
