Former Yes Keyboardist Rick Wakeman Weds for the Fourth Time

Four times is the charm for former Yes keyboardist Rick Wakeman.

Wakeman, 62, wed Rachel Kaufman, 37, on Dec. 14. It's his fourth marriage and to a woman 25 years younger after proclaiming in interviews that he would never marry again.

Despite their age difference, it was a romantic ceremony at a windmill in Norfolk, England. Wakeman's agent Roger de Courcey confirmed the news to the Daily Mirror. He said, "It was a very small wedding and reception, a private affair. Rick thoroughly enjoyed a pleasant day and he is very happy. He did say he wasn't going to marry again but Rachel is a lovely lady and she must have changed his mind."

Wakeman himself even went about things the old-fashioned way, admitting that he even asked Kaufman's parents' permission. He said, "I was worried about an aging old rocker like me marrying a lovely young girl like Rachel. So I asked her parents' permission before I asked her for her hand in marriage. Thankfully, they said yes." That was certainly the right move!

Scorpions on Their New Album and Why They're Saying Goodbye

Last year, German hard rock band the Scorpions announced that 'Sting in the Tail' would be their final studio album with a farewell world tour to follow. Yet with the tour booked well into 2012 and 2013, the group led by founding guitarist Rudolf Schenker and singer Klaus Meine, recently managed to release another album called 'Comeblack.'

Some have criticized the group – garnering a surprisingly younger legion of fans lately – for releasing another album after proclaiming 'Sting in the Tail' to be the last, but Schenker is adamant it's not the case.

"We said it would be great to make a project because we see it as a project, not an album like a real Scorpions album," he tells Noisecreep. "We stayed true to our word saying that 'Sting in the Tail' is our last studio album. But this is a project for us because as a band we never went into cover versions so much."

'Comeblack' features 13 tracks, seven of the band's biggest hits re-recorded, plus a half dozen cover versions of songs by some of the artists who inspired the legendary German rockers.

Van Halen Rehearsing for 2012 Tour in Legendary Hollywood Venue

This has been an exciting week for Van Halen fans. First news surfaced that the hard rock titans would be releasing a new studio album and touring in 2012, and now there's word that Van Halen has been rehearsing two or three times a week at the Roxy Theatre in Hollywood, Calif., for the past two months.

The Roxy Theatre blog sheds a little light on the top secret rehearsals.

"Do you have any idea how hard that was to not tell you?? When you come in at 10:00 a.m. and David Lee Roth, Eddie Van Halen, Alex Van Halen, and Wolfgang Van Halen are on stage with three other people in the room playing 'Running With The Devil' and you can't say anything?! It's tough, to put it simply."

Van Halen currently features David Lee Roth (vocals), brothers Eddie (guitars) and Alex Van Halen (drums), along with Eddie's 20-year-old son Wolfgang Van Halen on bass.

Guns N' Roses Reunion: Slash Is Ready to Put Old Animosity to Rest

Guns N' Roses will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012. The ceremony is slated for April 14 and many rock fans are wondering if the band's classic 'Appetite for Destruction' lineup will reunite for the special occasion.

The drama between vocalist Axl Rose and Slash has been well documented, but the guitar hero is apparently getting nostalgic for the good old days. Slash recently waxed poetic in a recent interview with Esquire magazine.

"When I see footage of Guns N' Roses, I see that f---ing hunger and attitude. You could not f--- with those five guys. It was just raw. It was this lean, hungry thing on its way up. It was as sincere as any rock 'n' roll that I've ever heard, and I'm proud of that. The split between Axl and I was a quiet one. But because there was so much attention on the break-up - and are we going to get back together - it got built up into this monster that led to a kind of animosity that wasn't the focus for me. Neither one of us wants to be down each other's throats for no reason. At this point, I'm trying to put it to rest."

VH1 Classic's 'Metal Evolution': Sneak Peek of 'Thrash' Episode (VIDEO)

Vh1 Classic

Vh1 Classic has just given Noisecreep a sneak peek of the newest installment of their 11-part rockumentary 'Metal Evolution.' Today's exclusive early look is of part 6 which is dedicated to the influential thrash scene of the late '80s.

In this clip, Metallica's Lars Ulrich and Metal Blade founder and CEO Brian Slagel talk about the first time they met at a Michael Schenker concert in Reseda, Calif. back in the early '80s. Metal Blade would eventually include Metallica's 'Hit the Lights' on their 1982 'Metal Massacre' compilation. Although it was the legendary band's vinyl debut, the early pressings of the compilation erroneously credited them as "Mettallica."

Pennsylvania Musician Takes Credit for Jon Bon Jovi Death Hoax

Bauer-Griffin

Jeffrey Goho of the Philadelphia-area metal band Minutia is taking credit for the Jon Bon Jovi death hoax that circulated virally on the Internet last week.

The stunt even inspired JBJ himself to address it with a proof of life photo, marked with the time and date Bon Jovi's response also said that heaven looks a lot like New Jersey. He had a terrific sense of humor about the whole thing.

That said, The Asbury Park Press reports that Goho (seen below third from right) started the web rumor by issuing a fake press release via a blog post. He claimed that the singer died after being discovered comatose in an Asbury Park hotel. Sounds similar to the Jani Lane story from earlier this summer, doesn't it?

Goho claimed his motivation was born out of his irritation over Jon Bon Jovi's non-musical pursuits, such as his role in 'New Year's Eve,' his Advil commercial and his recently opened soup kitchen, which helps the less fortunate to, you know, eat! As if this is any of Goho's business or he has any right, rhyme or reason to be irritated by things like philanthropic endeavors.
