How to submit a speaker
To submit a speaker for consideration, please email the following materials to events@mediabistro.com:
- Biography and headshot of proposed speaker
- The event you are submitting the speaker for, and reason why he/she is a good fit
- Links to any appearances, previous speaking gigs, video, podcasts, or press
- Appropriate contact information
Speakers should be submitted 90+ days prior to the event.
Please note that, due to the overwhelming number of submissions we receive, only individuals who are selected to speak will receive a reply. Although we truly appreciate all your ideas and proposals, it is simply not feasible for us to respond personally to every submission. |

mediabistro.com is proud to announce the mediabistro.com book club, where authors can highlight their latest work to cocktail party attendees. At each event, four authors will mingle and share drinks with mediabistro.com's influential audience and read a two minute selection from their work.
To be considered, please apply at least two months prior to the party you would like to be included in. You will be notified of your acceptance one month prior to the party. Parties will be held quarterly and co-hosted by mediabistro.com GalleyCat editors. One application per literary work, please.
For authors selected, mediabistro.com will:
- Mention author in party email invitation (over 30,000 sent) and on the event listing with a link to the author's website
- Photograph the event and post all pictures to Flickr -- follow up email will have a link to the Flickr site
Event format:
- 6:30-7:00 Cocktails & mingling
- 7:00-7:45 Readings
- 7:45-8:30 More mingling with media peers
