Thank You Portland!
Dear Friends:
A few moments ago, I spoke with Nick Fish on the
telephone; true to his nature, he was very gracious in conceding
defeat. I thanked him for being such a good and tough campaign
opponent. He assured me he would continue to stay active in Portland’s
civic life. I look forward to working together with Nick to make
Portland an even greater city.
I am humbled and deeply honored to have been elected
as Portland’s next new City Commissioner. Thank you.
The point of my campaign has been to shake up city
hall to get people back to work, improve education, support families
and cut government waste -- and that’s exactly what I intend
to do. I hope you will join me.
This campaign has been an extraordinarily positive
experience for me: My knowledge of this city and its issues has
expanded; my love of Portlanders and this place we all call home
has deepened; I have learned a lot and this campaign has tested
me in new ways that have made me a better person.
If you need to get a hold of me I can be reached
on my cell phone at 971-570-7395 or at the office at 503-236-2082
or by email (email is probably the best way this week) at sam@samforpdx.com.
Onward Portland!
With warm regards,
Sam
