I drove to Florida a few days ago.  That's why I haven't been posting as regularly as I normally do.  I may post a pointless video tomorrow but my system has been acting up and it takes a lot of patience to edit anything.  Every so often I think about switching to PC.  Only because of the cost (PCs are cheaper).  The functionality always brings me back to Apple.

Cara and I put our old oven out to pasture today.
Features we won't miss:  Windowless/lightless baking, uneven burners, temperature settings: extreme heat or off, no bottom storage drawer, no clock/timer and automatic burning.

So long.

Have a nice day.

A few days ago I opened up a box of Jujyfruits and came across this:
Lol!  It looks like 5 Jujyfruits poorly morphed into one.  I was going to throw it away but then I decided to eat it.  It wasn't so great. I could have let it end there but then I decided to write to the company.  I sent them the photo and wrote, "What the heck happened here?  Ha ha."  I never thought I would hear back.  But then I got this:
Dear Mr Borden:
*** This is a copy of the letter we are issuing through the postal mail, with replacement coupons. Please allow 7 – 10 days for delivery. ***
Thank you for writing Farley's & Sathers Candy Company, Inc. regarding Heide® Jujyfruits®. Hearing from our consumers better enables us to continue to provide quality products and services. Consumer feedback is very important to us, and we appreciate the opportunity to respond.
This product is manufactured by depositing hot cooked candy into depressions moulded into large trays of cornstarch. Spigots containing the liquid candy – lined in rows – drop the candy into the moulds. Each spigot contains a different color/flavor. Occasionally, sugar particles clog the spigots, causing colors to drop or run onto another colored candy piece(s). If coloring is not thoroughly mixed into a batch, colors may become darker or lighter and give the candy a patchy or spotty appearance.
Your experience concerns us, since we work hard to produce top quality confections. We carefully monitor the production of our products throughout the entire process. Our goal is to ensure that each and every batch of confections meets our high standards for quality and consistency.
The information you provided will be helpful in our efforts to continually improve our products. I sincerely apologize for any concern or inconvenience this incident may have caused. I assure you, your comments will be brought to the attention of our Quality Assurance Management.
Thank you for taking the time to contact us with your comments. We hope our products will be completely satisfactory in the future.
Sincerely,
Dani Smith

Good lord!  That was a pretty serious response to silly email.  I hope some poor candy jockey doesn't lose his job.  That's all I need is a disgruntled Jujyfruit maker gunning for my fat ass.  On the bright side, FREE JUJYFRUITS!
