Talking Left Episode 2012-1

Progressive broadcasters Danielle and Shane-O have now combined their long-running  shows: "Left in Dixie" and "Funked in the Head," into one three-hour show called "Talking Left"!

On this inaugural edition after the merger, our good friend and fellow Radio Or Not host, Jacob Dean helped us start things off right: or Right? We analyzed the Iowa caucuses, its cast of characters and we discussed the rising popularity of the terms "socialism" and "progressive" (despite the Right's efforts to demonize those terms).

In hour two, we welcomed Nicole Belle, editor of Crooks & Liars. We spoke about Iowa, the Supreme Court and President Obama's recess appointment of Richard Cordray to lead the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

In the final hour, Brad Friedman, purveyor of the BradBlog joined us to talk about voting irregularities in Iowa and issues that may come up in New Hampshire.
