The next Occupy Adelaide General Assembly will be at 6:30pm on Sunday the 22nd of January.

A quick update.
For anyone wanting to catch up with other Occupiers there’s a few of us gathering at the normal Hindmarsh Sq location in the Adelaide CBD.

There’s a marquee to keep people from getting sunburnt and there may or may not be a water balloon fight to cool people down.

Someone even mentioned a sausage sizzle at 5pm!

When : Now (3rd Jan) until the evening.
What : A fun get together to celebrate the start of the New Year.

The proposals which passed :

  • New Year’s festival idea : If anyone wants to organise anything, communicate it on Fbook and other media.
  • Statement of Intent/Mission Statement : Based on the Occupy Tampa proposal, but will be re-written by Steve, Sue, and Karin and bring it to the next GA.
  • “When people meet as part of Occupy, or are having other Occupy-related experiences, please try and report back to the group”
  • Social Moderation Team : Amanda be reinstated as a social moderation working group member.
  • Proposal that we create and have access to a members contact list (which was started on the night and will be typed up by Amanda).

The proposal which failed was the Working groups proposal, which needs some more work on it in regard to the suggested new working groups.
