Complete Timeline of SXSW Accelerator Events!
The fourth annual SXSW Accelerator presented by Microsoft BizSpark kicks off on Monday, March 12 this year at the Austin Hilton Downtown and it's sure to be a competition unlike any other.
Starting with forty-eight companies on Day One, our judges will narrow down the competition to the best eighteen and announce the grand prize winners in each category at the end of Day Two, Tuesday March 14. It doesn't end there, as Day Three kicks off the Music-Related Technologies competition at the Austin Convention Center, where eight companies will present and a winner will be crowned at the end of the day.

A huge thanks to Sean Simons, an Austin-based graphic designer with degrees from the Art Institute of Austin as well as the University of Texas. The emcees have been named for the fourth annual SXSW Accelerator presented by Microsoft BizSpark! We are thrilled to announce another great lineup of personalities and web celebs that will contribute their expertise to the success our program on March 12 and 13. The Accelerator program aims to showcase interactive technology startups and budding businesses in front of combinators, angel investors, local investors and more. The emcees will offer a guided tour of the attendees and the exciting new technologies they have to offer.

SXSW is proud to announce that the complete judging panel has been named for the 2012 SXSW Accelerator Presented by Microsoft BizSpark competition, and we were lucky enough to gather a phenomenal group for the job. SXSW Startup Village Showcase Event: SXSW Accelerator
As the premier showcase event during SXSW Startup Village the fourth annual SXSW Accelerator will take place March 12-14. This competition will be unlike any other. On March 12, forty-eight companies battle for your taste-making, trend-setting attention, leading to a fireworks display of innovation. Connections will be made and careers launched. On Tuesday March 13, the top eighteen companies will be invited back, and at the end of the day winners of SXSW Interactive Accelerator will be announced. The Music Accelerator follows on Wednesday, March 14th with a full day of programming where eight music technology startups companies pitch their product or services. Later that day, the top three companies will be invited back, and the winners of SXSW Music Accelerator will be announced that evening.
