I’m on a news bender lately (oh Occupy Wall Street, if you changed anything it was my hate for the news), and thanks to my friend Nick I have a fancy page to browse.

In response to Paul’s recent comment asking where I went, I think I overslept by a few months.
Here, play this excellent interpretation of The Great Gatsby via an NES.

Dimensions: get an idea of how big certain things really are. At least compared to the area you look up on a map.

Twirdie‘s a golf game that uses current Twitter posts as your club. You need to be somewhat up on what people would be talking about. Me, not so much.

This collection of photos documenting the gulf oil spill is as interesting as it is depressing. Not recommended for those not wishing to feel sad.

If you’re looking to stream music from your home computer to other locations (like your work computer, iPhone, Android, whatever), check out Subsonic. This isn’t an ad, this application kicks ass. I’ve been using it for about a year now and always forget to give them a shout so here it is.

Whether you’re for or against the current health care bill, you have to admit that the way these folks have had their brains wired against it is a bit terrifying.
I’m for a bill of some kind, but have a bit of trepidation that the current one is exactly what we need. What I’m trying to do is get actual information before I form a true opinion. It’s hard, messages from both sides are sometimes full of complete bullshit. Wading through it all isn’t easy, but if you want to know actual facts you need to dig and then dig some more. That being said, watching one news channel before becoming outraged and “storming the castle” just doesn’t make one appear intelligent, it makes you look like a fall on the head when a child has made you “intelligence challenged”.
