Frequently Asked Question #252
How do I edit and manage my ScrapBook images?
To manage the pictures in your ScrapBook, go to your gallery page, navigate to the particular image you want to edit, and click the "manage" link (or its equivalent) on the image page. This page allows you to manage your picture's properties, edit the picture, change its thumbnail, or delete it from your Scrapbook.
- Properties: This page allows you to change the picture's title, description, security, galleries, and tags. You can also post a picture to your journal, add public pictures to your userpics, or delete a picture. If you are deleting your picture you will need to uncheck the boxes next to all the galleries it currently belongs to before clicking the delete button.
- Alter Picture: This page lets you rotate your image in 90-degree increments either way, flip your image horizontally or vertically, or scale it down to a smaller size. Note that if you scale an image down, you will not be able to undo this action and scale your image back up, so keep a backup copy of the original image on your computer if you can.
- Thumbnail Focus: This page lets you alter the focus of your picture's thumbnail preview. You will see a large preview of your image surrounded by a dotted boundary line, with a crosshair in the center acting as the Focus Point. You can change the position of this Focus Point, as well as the Top Left and Bottom Right corners of the boundary line, by clicking the button next to each and clicking on the image. Click the "Save" button to apply your changes, or the "No special cropping" button to discard them. Please note that the JavaScript used on this page may not work as expected in some browsers.
