This private fundraising dinner will feature Tom in conversation with notable chef Mario Batali, food activists, and others. Mother Jones cofounder Adam Hochschild is the rare historian who fuses deep scholarship with novelistic flair. He is the author of seven books, mostly on subjects related to human rights, including "King Leopold’s Ghost" and "Finding the Trapdoor." His 2005 book, "Bury the Chains," was a finalist for the National Book Award, and his most recent book, "To End All Wars," was described by the late Christopher Hitchens in the New York Book Review as “a book to make one feel deeply and painfully, and also to think hard."
