Okay, so this bill has been the subject of a few conspiracy lovers. And guess what! it DOESN'T give the police the power to fly a drone up your ass like they say it does! At least no more than they already can, I guess. Additionally, the DoD, is only mentioned semantically. Figures, since they do what they want, regardless of legislation.

Anyway, It does however, serve as a doorway to handout some more corporate welfare to the aviation industry so they can tell the FAA and the Trans. Sec. what their jobs are. That is to say, the rats get a little cheese now, before the much greater wheel gets poured on to them when the drones move into the domestic market. Of course, it'll probably put a great many pilots out of a job in the end. Not surprisingly, the capitalist jackasses get the goldmine, while the working folk get the shaft.

In conclusion, the false conspiracy is hiding the very real and nefarious nature of the bill. At least we can take some comfort knowing that the fearful leaders, the democrats, as fickle as they are, voted against it.. Hopefully this means Obama, the gutless wonder, will follow suit. It should be noted that Ron Paul, in a politically safe move, abstained. So, is silence is what he's selling nowadays? "Nah, he was campaigning for liberty, constitution, freedom and founding fathers and weed, dude" Don't believe the hype......

Fracking Teach-In, Sunday, February 12, 7-9pm at BFUU

Join us for a teach-in about natural gas drilling – hydraulic fracturing, also called fracking – what it is, the risks it poses to our land, air, and water, and the grassroots organizing taking place against it. It’s not just an East Coast issue -- fracking is currently happening in the Los Alamos and Santa Barbara regions of California. ...

The teach-in will be facilitated by Alex Lotorto, who is a field organizer with the Energy Justice Network. He works with impacted communities living in the drilling fields. He is also part of Occupy Scranton. One of his goals is to build relationships between urban and rural groups around the country, so they can be in solidarity to support one another.

Alex says yes, it’s true -- gas drilling has made water so toxic it can be lit on fire, straight from the tap.
