I just moved (temporarily) from Vegas to Norwich, New York. In the middle of nowhere.

Never thought I'd find myself saying it but, damn, I miss home. Vegas? Home? Yup. I'm that breed of crazy.

Seeking a roadtrip partner to ComicCon
phantom
pern_dragon
My husband is driving out to ComicCon and is looking for one or two roadtrip partners, guys or gals (note, the ad linked here is the one for women, but the same ad is in the men section too).
His Craigslist ad is here: http://lasvegas.craigslist.org/stp/3117292106.html, but this is what he posted:

"I am going on a road trip to San Diego on Wednesday, July 11th coming back on Monday, July 16th for ComicCon. Looking for someone who needs to get to (or to and from) San Diego in the same time frame. Split the gas and you've got a ride.

Be over 18 and a non-smoker and ready for a road trip.

Put "San Diego" in the subject line to weed out the spambots."

Anyway, if you might fit the bill, please reply at his Craigslist ad.

Happy 4th of July, everyone! :)

Hi all :)

We're flying into Vegas on Sunday and we'll be there through Thursday. We've got Mystere and Mike Hammer tickets bought and printed. Really wanted to see Love but everything is pretty much dark that week since it's the week after rodeo but before Christmas vacations really start. We aren't renting a car and we're staying at the south end of the strip. We'll go early and take in Fremont Street before and after the Mike Hammer show.

We gamble a little. Very little. So we're all looking for other things to do. It's been about 6 years since I've been there and I/we will wander the strip and look at all the outside stuff again BUT... *grin*

What else would you suggest? We're not really club/dance type people. We drink but are mainly a beer or wine type of group. Is Minus5 worth the price to get in? Which hotels have neat or fun stuff inside? Is the shark reef worth the price of admission (Is it any diff. then the one at SeaWorld here in San Diego?)?

I saw Cosmo mentioned a couple times in a previous post as being neat inside. What makes it neat? :)

We like dive type bars with rock or classic rock going on. Or just fun/unique bars.

Which buffet do you local types head to when you feel the need to graze? What about when you want a fantastic steak dinner with all the fixings? Budget wise for the steak dinner we'd like to stay around $30 a plate or so, not including drinks of course. If it is really good we can go a bit higher.

And lastly (Sorry, this did get long!) we will be getting in sort of late, 8:30pm or so, on Sunday so by the time we shuttle to the strip, check in, etc will be 9:30/10pm and we will still need to get a quick dinner. What would you suggest that is really near the south end (Trop, MGM, etc) that is open later and we can get good food to go like burgers or pizza? Or that we can eat at but is good, cheap and super close to those hotels?

Thanks!

would like to repeat LJ LasVegas community introduction
Me as a 'toon
jjsaysblah
Hi,

Hello again, and hoping to strike gold for a second time.

Some years ago I was venting here about how hard it was to find good tenants for our house in Green Valley, and one of the members here contacted me and has been a stellar tenant for years... Suprised me, as I was just ranting and the lj member here just happened to need a place, however they need to move now.

So.... I was hoping to get lucky again, and that there may be another one of you or someone you know that would be looking for a new place to live.

Details in link here: http://lasvegas.craigslist.org/apa/2651181454.html

I will ask the tenant to contact you if you'd like his opinion on the place or how we've been as landlords, but I won't give out his contact information without his consent.

Thank you,

jj

Can someone tell me what this animal is? There are two of them in my backyard. They are small, about the size of ground squirrels, which are also spotted in my backyard. I tried Googling but can't find the info.

Ladies and gentlemen,

I hope people are still reading posts in this community.

My sister's dog ran away and we're asking for help in finding him. He ran away once before, and because of the heat, he was pretty weak and dehydrated that time. It's a little warmer now, so we're hoping he's still okay. He's been missing since Tuesday afternoon. She lives in Henderson, around S Racetrack and S Boulder Hwy. The dog is a miniature pinscher/chihuahua mix, black with brown on him. He answers to Monster. He does have a tag with my some contact info on it. I don't want to just give out my sister's number on here. He's a nice dog, doesn't bite, and tends to get along well with other dogs.

I don't know what else to put on here, other than I hope he's found, and I thank you in advance for your help.
