Lucas Schifres (from Paris, France) is an editorial, corporate, and portrait photographer specialized in China. A Chinese speaker, he has a master's degree in journalism.
Lucas Schifres received the National Headliner Award for Feature Photography from the Press Club of Atlantic City in 2007. His photos were shown at Perpignan's photo festival, Visa pour l'Image, in 2010. His last photo exhibition took place at the Minsheng Art Museum in Shanghai in July 2011.
As a photojournalist, Lucas has traveled to more than 35 countries. He covered Shanghai World Expo in 2010, Beijing Olympics in 2008, the political unrest in Tibet in 2008, and many more news stories. His photos have been published in the world's leading media including Time, Newsweek, New York Times, L’Express, Le Monde, Paris-Match, Figaro Magazine, and VSD. He has had photo exhibitions in Paris, Shanghai, and Prague.
Lucas Schifres resided in China from 2006 to 2011. Now based in Paris, he travels back to China several times a year. He accepts assignments in China, Asia and Europe.
