Thursday was the season opener of Bones. The characters had all scattered to different ends of the world, but the opener brought them back again. I went to the extras page of the Bones website and picked out this desktop wallpaper that is related to the season 4 finale "The End in the Beginning" (May 14, 2009). When it started, I watched the series because it featured David Boreanaz who starred in Angel. It has been a fun series with an interesting group of characters who have gone through a variety of twists and turns in their lives while solving one mystery every week.

Thursday will be the season opener of Fringe. I went to the extras downloads page and picked one of the wallpapers there for my desktop this week. As of today, they haven't made new designs since last season on this page. Fringe was one of my favorite shows last season and I am looking forward to it this season. It ended in quite a cliffhanger last season after a trip to the other dimension. Supposedly they are going to be rotating episodes between dimensions for a while.
Meanwhile, The Event starts tonight on NBC. This may be quite an interesting new show or depending on ratings it might just leave a lot of frustrated viewers.

Tonight is the season finale of The Closer and I decided to go to The Closer website and the wallpaper page there to pick out my desktop image for this week. I don't think I started until late in the first season, but thanks to a TNT marathon caught up and have been enjoying it ever since. It should be a wild finish as usual.

After leaving In Search of Sea as my desktop image during MMS CDR week and the next, I've returned to he Discovery Galleries website and picked out Rob Gonsalves' Community Portrait for my desktop image this week. With a new television season coming up in the weeks ahead, I think I'll look for show desktops for future weeks.

In Search of Sea is the Rob Gonsalves painting which we bought a giclée on canvas reproduction for my birthday. I put this up as my desktop image this week. You can see some photos from the gallery when we visited it several weeks ago here. And the final photo in the album is of the framed print on the wall at home.

A number of months ago I pre-ordered the 2011 Rob Gonsalves Master of Illusion calendar. When we were at Discovery Galleries a few weeks ago, they had the 2009 and 2010 calendars and I bought those as well as my birthday painting reproduction. The 2011 calendar arrived last week. Today, I brought the 2010 calendar in to work. The image for August is For the Birds. I also have decided to use that for my desktop image this week. You can find it among the various Rob Gonsalves paintings on the prints page on the Discovery Galleries website.

Just like the previous five weeks, I went over to the Discovery Galleries website and looked at the various Rob Gonsalves paintings on the original art web page. I picked Great Expectations for this week.
