The Summer Solstice occurs June 20, 4:09 pm PDT, 0:09 am June 21 Greenwich. It's the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere, said to be the time at which "free will" acts more powerfully than any other time. It is a point of decision, and kicks off Summer, the season of work, play, productivity, and lots of sunshine for those of us up north.
