Verdict in Corrie trial another test of Israeli impunity

Tomorrow, on August 28th, the Haifa District Court will announce a verdict in the Corrie family’s civil lawsuit against the State of Israel. Legal summaries submitted to the court reveal a callous Israeli defense which attempted to smear the International Solidarity Movement and blame Rachel Corrie for her own death. Corrie was crushed to death on March 16, 2003 by an Israeli military Caterpillar D9-R bulldozer as she protested the demolition of Palestinian homes in Rafah, Gaza.
