More RNC voter registration fraud

View Comments | Reddit | Tumblr | Digg | FARK
From the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette:
"Twilla provided the Post-Gazette with a copy of the script he said he had been given.

"It instructs the canvassers to hand unregistered Bush supporters a clipboard with a registration form, and to advise them the canvassers will personally deliver the forms to the local courthouse.

"A lower portion of the form also advises the canvassers to ask undecided voters two questions: 'Do you consider yourself pro-choice or pro life?' and 'Are you worried about the Democrats raising taxes?' If voters say they are pro-life, the form says, 'Ask if they are registered to vote. If they are pro-choice, say thank you and walk away.'"

Laura Bush is a bitch

View Comments | Reddit | Tumblr | Digg | FARK
And I mean it.

I just watched the following on CNN. Mrs. Heinz Kerry apparently said something today about not knowing if Mrs. Bush had every had a real job, when in fact, Mrs. Bush had been a school teacher and librarian for 10 years. Mrs. Kerry tonight issued a public apology to Mrs. Bush saying she's sincerely sorry for not remembering that the first lady spent ten years working in education and added, "there couldn't be a more important job than teaching our children."

Two points for Mrs. Kerry. She was wrong, admitted it, and said she was sorry. So how do the Bushes respond? Sending Bush-Cheney campaign attack-dog Karen Hughes on camera to say:
"Well I think it's very nice that she apologized, but in some ways the apology almost made the comment worse because she seems to have forgotten that being a mother is a real job."
No, Karen. Mrs. Kerry said nothing of the sort. The woman just apologized to you publicly, and gracefully, and you turn around and slap her in the face while outright lying about what she said. It's Laura Bush's turn to apologize for being such an obvious bitch. Whatever happened to gracefully accepting an apology in this country and moving on? Has she spent some much time with King George that now she's forgotten how to be a real person as well? Read the rest of this post...

We're all in this together...except Cheney

View Comments | Reddit | Tumblr | Digg | FARK
Cheney made it to the front of the line for the flu shot but of course those politicians are just so much more important than everyone else. Don't forget that we are all completely insignificant and never shake hands, push open doors, touch anything on the subway while commuting to work or ever come into contact with other people. We're all such nothings, right Senator Frist?

Kerry: Ready to Lead on Nov. 3rd

View Comments | Reddit | Tumblr | Digg | FARK
In the days following November 2nd, and regardless of any attempt by the Bush team to steal away another 2000, John Kerry will be planning his Presidency. He is already in the process of considering a National Security Team and already has identified "former Labor Secretary Alexis Herman and longtime Kerry aide David McKean" to lead his transition according to AP.

The entire Kerry team is already committed to making sure that 2004 doesn't turn into 2000 again. Keep up the hard work so won't have to worry about recounts - volunteer to help on election day. Let's blow the Bush campaign out of the water. Read the rest of this post...

Pat Robertson attacks Bush less than 2 weeks before the election

View Comments | Reddit | Tumblr | Digg | FARK
Ok, this is NOT good for Georgie. Pat Robertson, nutjob that he is, still commands a huge audience of believers out there. The question arises then as to why he's making some rather incendiary statements about Bush less than 2 weeks before the election. These are the kind of comments you make when you want to see someone lose.

You'll recall that Robertson refused to attend the GOP convention. It looks clear like now Georgie pissed him off, and Pat is getting the last laugh. This is a rather wonderfully unexpected October Surprise Read the rest of this post...

Kerry wins by a landslide

View Comments | Reddit | Tumblr | Digg | FARK
I don't know if this means anything, but I think it's kinda neat. Nickelodeon polled 400,000 kids and they support Kerry, 57-43. This poll has accurately predicted the "winner" of the presidential race in the last four elections.

So I guess a vote for Kerry is a vote for our children.

Family values, Bush style

View Comments | Reddit | Tumblr | Digg | FARK
Like I've said before, the so-called "precision strikes" are hardly precise and are taking out a lot of innocent civilians. Today they are digging out of the rubble an entire family (two parents and four children) who died after a precision strike. Why are we not seeing any outrage at these actions? Is anyone in the Pentagon ever going to be held accountable?

Americans traveling to Canada for flu shots

View Comments | Reddit | Tumblr | Digg | FARK
I hope that they will be OK since Bush said we can't be sure about the quality and safety of drugs from Canada. Thankfully the Canadians are not knocking up the price nine times like some American suppliers have been doing. Most of the reports mention that the price for Americans is the same as the locals. Nice people up there, eh?

It's official -- they're desperate

View Comments | Reddit | Tumblr | Digg | FARK
They've been frustrated, a little nervous, even upset. Now the white house is desperate -- so desperate that dick cheney is going to ohio and saying if Kerry were president we'd get hit with a nuclear bomb and Kerry wouldn't know what to do.

Sorta like learning the twin towers had just been hit by airplanes and responding by reading children's books to second-graders.

My. Pet. Goat.

(oh yeah, I forgot then we failed to catch the guy who organized it, then we invaded a country that had nothing to do with it.)

Standing up to a corporate bully

View Comments | Reddit | Tumblr | Digg | FARK
I have always wondered why towns or states have always been too weak-kneed to stand up to corporate bullies. Whether it's the likes of Boeing who ditched Seattle, sports teams who have shopped around for handouts or this story of Maytag, which kept its hand out for giveaways from a small town in Illinois but still closed its doors and send 1,600 to the unemployment lines, it always sickens me to watch such immoral corporate behavior. What's worse is that everyone always just sits there and takes it without standing up for themselves.

I have written and managed contracts with business partners for years and when you give something you get something in return. If the other party fails to live up to its end of the deal there are consequences and it is never one-sided. Thankfully some people in Galesburg, Illinois are fighting back and want Maytag to pay back the corporate handouts that they received in earlier concessions. Big Business has a moral and ethical duty to uphold its end of bargains and we should not accept anything else. Giving in to a bully just does not work.

Flu shots abundant for important people like members of Congress. Others can piss off

View Comments | Reddit | Tumblr | Digg | FARK
Bill Frist believes that members of the Senate are considerably more important than everyone else so flu shots are flowing in DC if you are more equal than others. I regular people out there are so irrelevant it just doesn't matter. After all, it's only important people like Bill Frist who actually go out and mingle with others. People who travel for work and visit offices, airports, etc are really not important like Dr. Frist and his fellow important friends. It's so nice to see that this comes from the party who says Kerry is distant and removed from the regular folks out there.

So just how stupid is Fox?

View Comments | Reddit | Tumblr | Digg | FARK
Like they couldn't see this one coming. Firing someone who has just filed a $60M sexual harassment lawsuit is about as stupid as it gets so it should come as no surprise that Andrea Mackris has now filed a wrongful dismissal lawsuit. I hope she owns Fox when it's all over.

1.7 Vets lack health care

View Comments | Reddit | Tumblr | Digg | FARK
Bush tells vets once again to go Cheney themselves. Let them eat cake (or start a company with friends of daddy.)

The number of uninsured veterans jumped by 235,000 since 2000, meaning they are losing health insurance at a faster rate than the general population, said Physicians for a National Health Program...

...the report traced some of the increase to the Bush administration's decision last year to suspend health care services for higher-income veterans in order to reduce waiting times for doctor's appointments.

Other veterans reported that they were on waiting lists for appointments, could not afford co-payments or lived in communities with no veterans' facilities, the report said.

Another 3.9 million people without health insurance live in veterans' households and also are ineligible for veterans' health care, the report said.

Iran votes for Bush

View Comments | Reddit | Tumblr | Digg | FARK
Very weird shit. Iran has come out in favor of Bush's re-election. Maybe they're BS'g, and are really hoping their endorsement cans Bush. I don't know. Or maybe they're trying to suck up to Bush, so he won't invade them and start WWIV (he's already in the middle of starting WWIII). Either way, Bush now has Czar Putin and the crazy Ayatollah's on board. Add that to Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson, and all he's missing is Kim Jong Il.
The head of Iran's security council said Tuesday that the re-election of President Bush was in Tehran's best interests, despite the administration's axis of evil label, accusations that Iran harbors al-Qaida terrorists and threats of sanctions over the country's nuclear ambitions.

Historically, Democrats have harmed Iran more than Republicans, said Hasan Rowhani, head of the Supreme National Security Council, Iran's top security decision-making body.

"We haven't seen anything good from Democrats," Rowhani told state-run television in remarks that, for the first time in recent decades, saw Iran openly supporting one U.S. presidential candidate over another.
