    Chrysler has halted work temporarily on a test fleet of plug-in hybrid-electric pickups and minivans after advanced batteries in pickups overheated. There were no injuries; the vehicles were unoccupied when the batteries overheated, Chrysler said. None of the minivan batteries overheated.

    Ford workers voted 82% in favor of their new national contract. Production workers voted 81% yes; skilled workers 87% and office workers were 100% in agreement, according to results released late Sunday afternoon after a weekend of voting.
