An email from one our listeners about NovaJoint:

I don’t understand how it works, but it did work for me. I’ve had two steroid injections in one knee, three bunion surgeries (twice on one foot, again on one foot), mother has had three major joint replacements due to osteoarthritis (which I’ve been diagnosed with and it is hereditary). She’s going to try it, and we’ll see whether it helps her advanced oa. After two weeks twice a day, I forgot that I had ever had joint pain! Thanks to Mike Malloy for steering me to this.

Thank you very much, Janice.

The GOP HQ is calling, they’re running low on White-Out and dry erase markers.

Could Mittens have a worse week?

He begins by lashing out at Obama’s foreign policy failures and so-called “apology” before the US Ambassador’s body is cold, unaware – or uncaring – of the four dead Americans lost in the Consular attack in Benghazi, Libya . Then he rushes to the nearest TV cameras and rubs salt in the nation’s wounds by asserting that his message was on target: the President who ordered the killing of Osama bin Laden and sent drone strikes into Afghanistan, Yemen, Pakistan, Somalia (and only Allah knows where else) is an apologist to the Muslim world and weak on foreign policy. Uh, yeah.

But Willard’s ugly, deformed statement last week was but a tiny ripple compared to the tidal wave of negative press he’s receiving in the aftermath of the Mother Jones video released late yesterday.  (Full Video Here) In case you missed it, Megabucks Mitt was speaking to a glossy group of wealthy supporters at a May fundraiser and did not realize he was being secretly recorded and that the recordings would find their way to YouTube. (Damn that Al Gore and his pesky Internets). The .01% from Boca Raton, Florida, shelled out $50,000 a head to hear Willard verbally pet and stroke them while ripping the Obama-supporting moochers on Social Security, Medicare, veterans benefits, Medicaid, and other social services who refuse to take responsibility for their sad little lives.

The real Willard Mitt Romney has revealed his true self (if not his tax returns) at long last.
Bishop Romney, sounding comfortable and relaxed and totally in his element, casually explained to the well-fed and well-bred his total disdain for middle-class and working poor Americans who receive government support and who thought they were somehow entitled to things like food and shelter. (What was that the Founding Fathers said about Unalienable Rights? Uh, never mind). These poor unfortunates see themselves as victims, Mittens leisurely explained, and were worthy of his and his audience’s total disregard because they would always vote for Obama. See, Obama would promise them help with employment, or health care, or tell “victims” they have a right to eat and have a place to live. Stupid losers.

Mother Jones has the whole blockbuster:
There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what. All right, there are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it. That that’s an entitlement. And the government should give it to them. And they will vote for this president no matter what…These are people who pay no income tax.
Romney went on: “[M]y job is not to worry about those people. I’ll never convince them they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives.”

Okay . . . deep breath. Mittens is denigrating roughly half the population of the US because they are so-called “working poor,” or struggling middle class or working class and . . . they don’t pay federal income taxes. This from a man who hid his hundreds of millions in Swiss bank accounts and shifted his businesses to the Cayman Islands – or wherever – to avoid paying US taxes. Does that make him one of his own self-declared pitiful victims who live to feed at the public trough? Or is it okay to dodge taxes if you’re extremely rich, but it’s bad bad bad to be so abused by corporate America that you’re unemployed or under-employed and simply don’t earn enough to feed your family or meet even the lowest income level requirement for taxation?

Now that his true colors are flying for all to see, at least he can drop the failed pretense of being a man of the people who understands the problems facing average Americans. He pretended, unconvincingly, that he could relate to most of middle America. But “middle America” know the closest Megabuck’s has come to a tragedy was when his award-winning dancing pony almost stepped into his car elevator. Or his dog got sunburned strapped to the top of the Romney’s car as it sped across the desert.

Well, a new day has dawned this AM and America is waiting with ‘bated breath – some of us caressing our gilded coffee mugs, some clutching a Styrofoam cup – waiting for the replay of the video recorded last night at 10PM (!) EDT of the Anointed One explaining his ugly, hateful statements. How can he be President of All the People of These United States if he has written off half the population as victims who relish their victim hood? A population refusing to take responsibility for their pathetic lives?

Elder Mittens staged a hasty presser last night and explained it this way:

It’s not elegantly stated, let me put it that way. I’m speaking off the cuff in response to a question and I’m sure I can state it more clearly in a more effective way than I did in a setting like that and so I’m sure I’ll point that out as time goes on but we don’t even have the question given the snippet there nor the full response and I hope the person who has the video would put out the full material. But it’s a message which I’m going to carry and continue to carry which is look the president approach is attractive to people who aren’t not paying taxes because frankly my discussion about lowering taxes isn’t as attractive to them and therefore I’m not likely to draw them in to my campaign as effectively as those who are in the middle.

So let me make sure I understand his non-apology. What Mittens meant to say – more elegantly, of course – was that this pathetic 47%, moochers all, don’t earn enough to pay taxes and, therefore, his message of lower taxes won’t make sense to them and they will vote for Obama. Funny how he totally ignored his ugly comments about how they play “victim” and refuse to take responsibility. The woman on food stamps is to be derided, the veteran receiving benefits from his service overseas is a leech, the senior on chemotherapy paid for – in part – by Medicare is shirking their personal responsibility; but the rich tax-dodger is to be applauded for his hearty, proud (completely phony) independence. These are, clearly, his values.

Which is the greater sin? If I could only remember the exact quote. . . what is that part of the Bible about a rich man, a camel and the eye of a needle? Isn’t there something about the poor inheriting the kingdom of heaven, or why it is good to help the less fortunate? Where is that part about hiding your cash overseas and berating the poor for seeking food and shelter?  Maybe Bishop Romney can help out with the correct Bible verses, he being such a godly man and all.

For the life of me, I can never find the compassion in these conservatives – no matter how hard I look.
