One of the silent era's most influential masterpieces, Nosferatu's eerie, gothic feel -- and a chilling performance
from Max Shrek as the vampire -- set the template for the horror
films that followed. As vampire movies go, few are more
memorable than Nosferatu, which is not only the first screen
version of Dracula, but, in some ways, remains the best.
Award-winning composer Andrew Alden brings an exciting new score
to the iconoclast 1922 vampire film Nosferatu. The music
features the use of electric guitars, world instruments,
percussion, piano, strings, and synthesizers. The silent film
will be presented before live audiences while the ensemble plays
the textural and original score in person onstage. |
