Deputy District Attorney Janice Magdich said the city Police Department has heard complaints from residents where neighbors have been growing marijuana in their backyards and the plant odor has caused a stench in the neighborhood.

The 12-member jury convicted Williams in Helena on Sept. 27 on eight counts, including conspiracy to manufacture, distribute and possess with intent to distribute marijuana; manufacture of marijuana; possession with intent to distribute marijuana; and four counts of possession of a firearm during a drug trafficking offense.
