Where the fire extinguishers will be open to the elements then consider dry powder fire extinguishers as they will not freeze and you can also specify trolley units which include a double fire extinguisher protection box. Generally water, foam or dry powder fire extinguishers are suitable for use on building sites. Do not forget to include a carbon dioxide fire extinguisher if you have an electrical fire risk.
