Happy Fargers Day

Happy Fathers Day to my main squeeze! My girls and I are very lucky indeed to have him in our lives. He is a great example of what a true man is and I hope my girls are just as lucky as I have been in the marriage department. And all he wanted for today was a wink and a smile. So here you go, big guy!

My girls and I are very fortunate to be surrounded by great fathers. Nate, my dad, my father-in-law, brothers, brothers-in-law and friends. Thank you all for all you give and for being there for us.

Bursting with Pride

I vowed to myself that I wouldn't blog every single swim meet. After all, they are EVERY week. But this week...well, I just had to. Lots of goings on. Megan made the decision to switch from dive team to swim team. She was on the team just two days when she had her first meet. Two races and she took 4th and 5th place! Way to go Megan!

And Sammy...well Sammy stunned us all! 5th place with her first swim and then 1st place baby! In the breaststroke!

(Or the breathstroke as some ten year olds call it)

Way to go girls! We are all so proud of you!

Competition

Last Thursday Megan had her very first diving competition. We were all very excited. There were a lot of Megan's competing that night, and every time they called out the name Megan, I think she died a little inside :) We got her there right at 5:15 so she could get warmed up. She did great! We were very proud of her. Here she is doing her back dive, twist to the front. I'm sure there is a better name for it, but I can't remember what it is. And her back dive...
She had another dive to do, but for some reason Sammy's swim meet was scheduled at a different pool. So I took Sam and Nate stayed with Meg. This night was the backstroke, which she likes a heck of a lot more than free style!
And she took 6th place! Can you tell she is thrilled?!? Added bonus, the ribbon was purple!
I was so dang proud of my girlies. It ended up being a looong night. Sam still had the relay race and it was after 9:15. Remember what time we started? 5:15. All out in the AZ sun. Luckily she was tired, so we opted out of the last race. Guess this is how we'll be spending all of our summer Thursday nights :)
