Houston isnt even going for the 2024 olympics
Your poll needs more places Northeast because there are other cities like Nairobi, Tulsa, Casablanca, ROme, Berlin, Washington DC and Toronto going for it.
Houston is definetly not bidding for 2024, maybe 2028.. but not 2024

I say Ireland.
We don't have the infrastructure, workers, capacity (maybe we do, actually), the transport or airports to hold it.
Atlanta.. also US
I assumed so, I wasn't sure if that was 1984. It was LA then, right?

None of the above because America's economy is going to crash before then, and there will be lots of poor and starving people everywhere.

What? Americas economy has improved roughly 30% since 2008 (low peak) .. and is as high as it was in the 80s.

Sure, the dam can keep running for a while once you patch the hole, but the entire structural integrity has been compromised as a result.
Factor in how climate change is affecting crop yields and our fresh water supply... toss in the inevitable increase in gas prices due to peak oil production... the future is grim.

I say johannesburg, doha or dubai. They sure as hell have the money and always will.
Jonessburgh or Doha .. they are poorer than Mississippi
Dubai is just a few rich men powering over the city... wont be there

Johannesburg is in South Africa. SA isn't exactly rich In fact, they have high poverty rates and:
According to the 2011 UNAIDS Report, South Africa has an estimated 5.6 million people living with HIV – more than any other country in the world
As for Doha or Dubai, if there's so much controversy over Russia's anti'gay laws for the Winter Olympics, why would many delegates want it to be in the Middle East? And as for Tel Aviv, there will be security issues.

Thread cleaned.
Sadly I was forced to hide several posts that were otherwise acceptable except for the fact they referenced a post using inappropriate language.
In the future, keep things calm and civilized an no posts will need to be hidden. Debating each other in a lively way is not the same as debating each other in a lively way using unnecessary and inappropriate language.
