Overview
Littlefoot is a brontosaurus who enjoys a rather idyllic life with his mother and grandparents. His world is shattered when a massive earthquake kills his mother and separates him from his grandparents, leaving him alone. Driven by a vision of a distant land of plenty called the Great Valley, he begins an epic journey. As his quest continues, he meets the smart-mouthed Cera, sweet-natured Ducky, flying Petri and silent Spike. Each is a different type of dinosaur, but all are herbivores like him. Littlefoot is the leader of the little group, but Cera frequently challenges him, and the others become discourages at the many setbacks before them. They will have to find a way to stick together and have faith if they are to survive.
