Candidates to Defeat meet the following criteria:

  1. Strongly oppose most Equality Goals or have vetoed equality legislation
  2. Running for federal or statewide office
  3. Any party affiliation, sexual orientation, and gender identity
  4. Can be defeated: they are within 10% of the opponent

HATE CRIMES: Expanding hate crimes protections to include gays, lesbians, bisexuals, and transgenders


NON-DISCRIMINATION: Protection from Non-Discrimination in Employment, Housing, Credit, and Public Accommodation for gays, lesbians, bisexuals, and transgenders


MILITARY: Lifting the ban on Don't Ask Don't Tell and modifying medical and uniform military regulations


MARRIAGE: Allowing civil marriage regardless of gender


FREEDOM OF GENDER: Instituting rights and protections currently denied to those who do not conform to traditional gender roles


PROTECTING YOUTH: Creating protections for LGBTQ youth in schools, foster care, and the juvenile justice system


SAME SEX PARENTING RIGHTS: Granting LGBTQ parents the same rights and responsibilities that are now granted to heterosexual parents regarding adoption, foster care, child custody and visitation, and surrogacy/insemination
