Two Minutes of Fame

Erik started a new job a few months ago. He knew that there was a possibility that he could end up on their billboard. He was told that he would replace his boss. It ended up that the bank sold the billboard, but the company had already printed Erik's replacement. So here he is, for all of 6 days. They put it up on a Friday, and he came down the next Thursday. It was pretty cool for our boys to see him up on the sign, but Erik is not too sad about it coming down. A 14 foot portrait of yourself can be a little scary. We all thought that he looked pretty good though!

Miss Emma

Emma has been so much fun to have in our family, but I'm not sure where we found her! After having 4 boys, I thought we would have a sweet, mellow little girl. She is sweet and cuddly but far from mellow. Emma gets herself into more mischief than all the boys combined. She loves to climb ANYTHING, and is a magnet to any kind of writing utensil. She will draw on any surface, whether it be walls, drawers, the boys homework, my purse, etc.. We find Emma scribbles all over the house. There have been so many times that I have walked into the kitchen to find her standing on the kitchen table swinging the chandelier. She loves to get Q-tips and stick them into the toothpaste or any kind of tube. She then smears the toothpaste all over our bathroom cabinets. She just discovered that Jaxson keeps a stash of candy in his room. I got out of the shower one morning and couldn't find her. I eventually made my way downstairs (pretty panicked) and found her with a sucker in her mouth and a handful of candy. She may single-handedly destroy our house, but we wouldn't trade her for anything!
Emma's favorite place to draw is wall right as you walk in the front door. I think I have used Magic Eraser 5 or 6 times on the same wall.
We are wondering if Emma will be ambidextrous. She switches hands when she writes and she will often eat with both hands at the same time. So far none of our kids are "lefties" and Erik is really hoping we can get one out of the five.
She loves to read stories, when she is not ripping pages.
Emma and Spencer are great buddies, and love to splash in the tub together!
As wild as she is, we sure love this little girl!!

Christmas 2010

We had a wonderful Christmas season! It seemed to fly by, but we loved all the time we were able to spend together as a family.
Spencer's preschool group had a Christmas party where they performed the nativity. He was able to play Joseph and Jane was Mary. They took their roles very seriously!
 Temple Square

We had so much fun making gingerbread houses at Grandma and Grandpa Tadje's house.

 Our ward Christmas Eve program
The kid's all got new vests for their Christmas Eve "warm and fuzzy" gift.
 Grandma Condie's Christmas Eve party

 Santa came to visit.

Grandpa sporting his cool dancing Santa hat on Christmas morning.

Santa brought our family new snowshoes for Christmas this year. We had so much fun trying they out up American Fork canyon Christmas day.

Halloween 2010

We started off our Halloween celebrations with a trip to "This is the Place Heritage Park."
Spencer loved being a "fireman" at the Firehouse!
The kids loved riding on a hayride, and two different trains.

  Trick-or-Treating!

Kate helped carry tired trick-or-treaters around in the rain.

On Halloween night we had a "mask" party and celebrated Kristin's birthday.

Happy Birthday Kristin! We love finishing off a great Halloween season with your special day.
