Yes, shockingly enough, the word "write" is indeed a verb. Furthermore, it is always a verb. Likewise, it is only a verb. Correspondingly and amazingly enough to some of our posters, it is never a noun. Hence, there is no such thing as "a write." There is no such thing as "a good write." There is no such thing as "a great write." There is no such thing as "a fantastic write." Despite the truth of these facts about the word "write," we have been forced to delete numerous examples of all four of the preceding quoted phrases from critiques, most often but not exclusively in "Newbie's" and "General." And we will continue to do so with renewed vigor and fortitude wherever this obscene form of linguistic laziness rears its ugly and illegitimate head.

Be advised: There is "writing." There is "good writing." There is "great writing." There is "fantastic writing." But there is no such thing as "a write" of any description. If you choose to make use of this perversion, expect your comments containing it to be deleted forthwith and without further ado, and yourself to be made great mock of for your failure to use the English language correctly.
