And the winner is....Anyone's Got A Light Challenge!

First we'd like to thank all the Poets who submitted poems at probably the busiest time of year. Also, to all the voters for taking time to read, enjoy, and vote for the poems.

Now to the fun! The Poet holding the light for the "Anyone's Got a Light" challenge for 2014 is

JFN with This Year I Pray For Courage!

    Well done, John!

2nd place is Suzanne for Trench Art!

3rd place is DeniseD for Genesis!

4th place is UnkleBob for Frosty Twenty-Three!

5th place is PClem for Letter to John Johansen From His Sister!

6th place is Scrow for Maman!

7th place is larryrap with Nabuma Rubberband!

All very enjoyable submissions, and I was proud to be able to read them first! Well done to all participants. Next up, Cupid's arrow is aiming toward February. More news soon!

Thanks to Vicky for the organising etc. I always love a PFFA challenge, and really enjoy ekphrastics, so it was great fun reading them all and seeing how people approach them. Good results all round I think.

    Congratulations to Suzanne and Esined.

Congratulations John and Suzanne. Both poems are wonderful. I enjoyed every poem. Everyone approached them in a different way and it was interesting and fun to read them all - so thanks to everyone who entered.

Vicky, thanks for organizing this. I know it was a lot of work.

Well, now I'm pleased my predictions are buried on another thread.

Congrats on your win, John! I was convinced you'd written Letter to John Johansen From His Sister.

Suzanne, a lovely rondeau that I was convinced Matthew (mjd888) had written.

UnkleBob, long time no see. That snowman crucifixion scene was inspired! Loved it.

Congrats to all the rest. Lovely to see another challenge on the site. Unfortunately I didn't find time to play this time.

John and Suzanne - great work! Pleased to say I voted for both of you. And was utterly wrong on my guesses yet again. Good work, everyone, especially the organizers. Once again, this was a fun Challenge. Looking forward to the next, which I may or may not participate in.

    Hi all,

I loved PClem's poem (although I needed the picture to make sense of it), and the rest ranged from drop-dead-gorgeous to ever-so-slightly worrying (in a good way: although I don't want to meet the disenfranchised snowman on a dark night). I hope no-one minded a new member participating. I love challenges and enjoy joining in. Additionally, someone needed to post something dodgy at the time when I posted, as otherwise the standard was far too good. Thank-you to all those who organised.
