    hi Lorraine!
Christian is a nice nod to autism - I knew it was about that as soon as I read 1 in 68 followed by the screams and thrashing. I think these are good bones that can be fleshed out into something more substantial. something to ponder post napo.
April Fool's Baby - congrats!! but too happy an occasion for such a dour poem!
Some Grandma's Little Darling - nice sentiment in this - touching is a gift when done by an autistic child.

    Hi, Lorraine,

Your snapshots of an autistic child have an authentic intimacy. (I have a nephew with Asperger's.) I was able to figure out from the context of Christian that "1 in 68" referred in some way to autism; my question was, why did someone put it on his door in his own home?

And congrats on Abigail Rose! I wonder if her birth day will show up in her personality?

I like the silhouette of the squirrel as Kokopelli, who always seems to be 2-d.
I like the proud brag of "1 in 68" on the door - rarified company indeed - and the fear of what might happen sounds right.
I like the celebration of "he chose to touch me!" and the choice of the work 'chose.'
Lots to like here - thanks for sharing.

    Hi, Lorraine!

I enjoyed your sweet poem about Little Squirrel. Tail warms nose is my favorite part.

Congrats on Abigail Rose! I know a couple pretty cool people with a birthday of April 1st.

Some Grandma's Little Darling-Love this and the triumph expressed in the last two lines.

I wish to thank everyone who responded to my attempts at participation this year. Thirty days hath April, and I had 32 seizures of varying types during April. With due diligence to diet, I'm feeling much better and have had 2 consecutive days without any kind of seizure! YAY!
    Anyway, thank you.

So sorry to hear, Lorraine, but very glad you're doing better now. Maybe an upcoming 7/7?
