    Excellent title

Not showing up must be the other half of the battle.

Without contraries is no progression (!)
What is the work if it isn't a ticket to slip into vivid euphoria?

    Glad you showed up.

I'll speak to HM and see what we can do about a title.

    Have a great month!

    Skin Hunger

You don’t have to cuddle anyone at a Cuddle Party, ever.

You are a dark wool blanket stretched almost to ripping,

    your four corners pinned.

You are surrounded by light bulbs

and you are the only dark thing.

The light hovers and thinks to crackle.

Someone in the building is frying chicken.

It will be over before you know it.

Your sense of free-asociation logic, which I detect in most of your poems, but maybe here is used to its full advantage, allow your one-line stanzas to capture an almost love-poem in a surreal form. Keep showing up!

"The light hovers and thinks to crackle." is my favourite line. Such unexpected diction. Agree with Cameron about the strength of the free association, from line to line. I wonder if some of the associative language runs across the line break and starts to mingle?

Jeebuss scraps, that took a quick turn from cuddling to a dark scene indeed.

For me the dark spot pinned under bright lights produces an emotional response and speaks of the shadow in a Jungian way that is abstract but powerful.
    Realism.

    Steve,
Skin Hunger is excellent, fresh images giving the reader so much and leaving so much up to the reader. The young student eating a wolf is concentrated surprise!
You are on a NaPo roll already, pleased you are here!

I've never been to a Cuddle Party, and if that's where it leads I never want to go...That was cryptically dark...
As with others, the standout line for me was the one where "the light hovers..."

    Curious for more!
