30 -- seeing the big in the small, and originally, typical of you, the opposite!

Excellent thread -- I came back and read the starry poem on Sydney -- glorious!

I love that you always illustrate your NaPo thread with the most surprising pics.

See you next year, I know!

Brian, i'm still not done with you...maybe tomorrow? For now i made it back to the Caribou poem and realized my late night mistake, the contrast is crystal.....brain fog? Something worse i suspect. The photo in caribou is harrowing...i did appreciate the stark difference with first photo, along with scripture....who will ever know what caused that gruesome end in Greenland? I almost wonder if the bones were posed....artsy in not the greatest way for me. I liked the detail of how the death of such an animal in a desert involves not being aware of what's coming once the stun of an injury passes.
Your photos in The Bench and also Now to Spring are fantastic. The first of the spring ones has an otherworldly light at center, almost like the sun is coming out of the earth, even though it's the winter one...maybe because of that fact. Someone in my extended family has published a couple of photography books that reveal the exact same scene from his house porch every single day for a very long time....and did you ever see the Harvey Keitel movie Smoke?
There a smoke shop owner went out into a busy NY street every single day at the same time for many years and shot one photo....much more drama to it with the William Hurt character's loss of his wife.....
    must stop,
