Heavy grocery shopping

As for your head, a pint or two

clever you Karin. In 4 I like the playful "good" for you, and the rest of the practical playfulness.
5. The shortest philosophy lesson? For some odd reason I think of the shortest verse of scripture: Jesus weeps.

Singer,
Many thanks for the commennts and the encouragement, I did need it.
I have a draft, and as I said in Matt's thread, I can't imitate him anywhere n e a r as well as I had hoped,
in fact, not at all convincingly.
So the draft prose poem needs something.
On the other hand, it's Sevens and anything posted as a poem IS a poem. Right? Right.
Sigh.
Doing a Matt (unofficial title, heh)
Note: This is what I thought when I wrote this. I was so wrong. Matt is inimitable.
When watching winter sports, we sometimes invite the odd bird from the feeder inside to munch sunflower seeds in comfort. That big beaky hawfinch is always knocking on our window. Pushy, I'm sorry to say, so NOT him. And the blackbird has grown too fat for the swinging net-baskets, but keeps picking up dropped seeds. He needs no encouragement. Excitement mounts among the rest, wings wave, squeaks and flutings meld with our human Norwegian groans whenever a Swedish skier in blue-tit colours passes a sleek Slovenian greenfinch suit and vice versa. The spectators spit out the indigestible shells and occasional cheers and curses. Only the bullfinches chew placidly, permanently posing against the snow for Christmas cards.

Just be yourself dear Karin.
I love the homey encapsulated scene, just a bit Norman Rockefeller. We are all more like the birds than we know, all after our seeds of so many kinds. Straight downhill now for us. Singer

Thank you, Singer. You are always full of cheering and kindness -- in the spirit of Sevens. And I had some fun looking up Rockwell covers!
Listening to and half watching a Mozart sonata being played by two old childhood friends and famous pianists. Maybe an idea in there?
Argerich & Barenboim: Mozart Sonata K. 521 Four-Handed
They play, the octogenarians, as they used to
at age seven and eight. Under the piano then,
hand in hand. Side by side now, wrists cross,
hands slip above and under, fingers sharing
seven decades of practice and skill on the keys,
quick glances at that old familiar playmate
to confirm: We're here, and still the same!

I love this last one very much! The closing sentiment is very wise and realistic, and I also love the understated way you describe the fine feat. Wish Andrea was here for this one. I'd keep working on this one to add a few more small, understated details about these 3 wonderful women, to drive it all home even more.
As always, Sevens with you feels like a true playground, without any too painful worry. Thank You. Singer

Thank you so much, Singer.
Not sure the youtube link opened properly, but it's these two, Martha Argerich and Daniel Barenboim:
Singer,
It's been great doing Sevens with you. Thank you for all the good feedback and fluff.
Next month?
