    3. Travelogue

    Airport, airplane, staying sane,
    cracker crumbs, and walnut brains,
    buckling up and striking sky,
a small screen movie makes me cry.
    Airport, airplane, baggage claim,
    heading homeward in the rain.

    4. Glory

My plans for the week may be falling apart,
but the rain on my glasses is glorious art.

heloooo Weaver! nice start with Bright - and because it's beach related I strongly relate. you captured that idyllic ease well.s that feelking of "ahhhhh". April 2 - ouch, sunburn. get out the aloe, quick. and next time remember the sunscreen! Travelogue - captures well the whirlwind of traveling. Glory - such fun! love the raindrop art.

Sorry to hear you have been unwell. Hope it passes quickly. I really like the idea of glory. Child like wonder is such a great place to live with poetry. Sp

    5. Wave

    A great green wave
    grows into a cave
    and solidifies
    before my eyes,
    sharpens the wind
    into a song.
    I hum along
    and crawl inside
    then rise and roam
    over frozen foam
    and stare at the sight.
    The walls shape light
    and reverberate
    with each move I make.

    6. Lilias Trotter’s Parable of the Cross

    The chestnut branches cross-like.
    Blood-red buds break through.
Death is the gateway for new life.
    Resurrection is waiting for you.

Bright, Travelogue, Glory, and especially the alliteration of Wave, all are fun to read.
And i enjoyed the images you chose from nature.
It's gonna help a lot if you have an index.
    Otherwise tough to navigate.

Now I need to look more closely at chestnut branches.

The wave poem form is interesting to read, and I think, pretty wavelike indeed. It's fun to experiment right! SP

    Hi Word Weaver!

I really enjoyed catching up with your thread - I think my favorite is Wave - I liked the effect of the word combining (not sure if there is a technical term for that!). The kind of random/not random rhythm works to create little word waves.

    Hope you're feeling better!

Heya wordweaver! hope you are feeling better soon!
Wave - reminds me of surfing, and riding the curl. nice images and word choices. it also has a feeling of movement. well done.
Lilias Trotter's,,, - I like the images and economy of words, nice rhyme too

    Helloooo?
    No NaPo without Word Weaver!
I hope you are feeling better. I think I saw your name logged on recently, hope that's a good sign!
Your poems get punchier every year.
Great to hear from the beach -- just turned spring here. And Glory is wonderful!

The site works best with Firefox for me. Something to do with Chrome and Edge being edgy about top security and defaulting to a basic version, I think.

    Hi, WW,

"Wave" - I like how you run words together like the surf lapping up on the shore and retreating.

    Donner

If you're having issues with the site, it's most likely the browser you're using. Chrome and Edge are wonky and don't work well; it's behaving normally for those using Firefox, Safari or Pale Moon.

Thank you guys! I was in fact having issues with the site which included my poetry lines running together. I thought it might be temporary so I was putting off posting, but now I've got firefox so I'll get back to that

    7. Matter

    I read my poems
    as if they matter
    so that they do
    to you too.

    I hold up my heart
    and allow it to scatter
    in pieces to
    each one of you.

    8. Total Eclipse

    I see sliding spheres
    colliding into crescents
and I am in the presence
    of wonder, understanding only part
of the glory that thou art.

    Dusk descends, circled by sunset
    as the slender sliver disappears.
    The silhouette makes silhouettes
of all the strangers on the pier.

    We shiver in the park.
The sun-crown swims with magic in the dark.

Light and life return and then
    the four-year-old says “Again!”
