    *Official* NaPo Challenge Thread

This is the place to post the many and various challenges participants pose during NaPo, including the popular "Write Thirty Poems in 30 Minutes" Challenge, Kitty Ditties/Chicken Ditties and any others you happen to think of. It's also a good source for prompts, especially on those days inspiration is fleeting. (And that will happen, oh, yes, it will.)

Any NaPo participant can post a challenge throughout April. The *unofficial* rules are simple:

    • Each challenger will post their challenge to this thread.
    • Challengees will post a link to their challenge response.
    • The challenger will edit in the links to their challenge post.

    Have fun!

(Here's last year's Challenge Thread for reference.)

(Sorry for all the reposts; I’m getting a weird glitch when I try to edit recent posts, and I keep screwing up my bbcode syntax.)

    Kitty Ditty Challenge!

    Rules are simple, basically,
to write a poem (but no Haiku) about a cat, has a cat in it, or at least, mentions a cat.
You need not have a cat personally, or even know a cat,
it could be a fictional cat like the Cheshire, or Rumpleteaser,
alive, or recently deceased, or of dubious status like Schrodinger's kitty.

Post a link here, the committee will review it, and ye shall be recognized as having met the challenge!
The Itty Bitty Kitty Ditty Committee:

NB. contributing a kitty ditty is completely voluntary, nothing obligatory about it!
However, the committee does not recognize catku!
In fact nothing less than a limerick will do.

Please drop a link here for me to find your entry.

    Entries so far:
Meditation by cookala - subtle, sensual, spiritual, Bootsie.
Cat Poem by Sorella ABBA cattribute, technically, not an haiku
Catfish by new leaf - a colourful metaphor
What do you do with a hungry kitty? by Donner - opening act of Donner's musical tribute to Cats, lookout Sir Andrew.
Lune x by Howard - kitty is hungry for chow, Geffo is hungry for more syllables
O-C Cat Poem by Dunc - an erudite kitty limerick
Phantomb Hamb Syndromb by Featherless Biped - macabre, after Poe, content advisory.
Stellar Event by prokopton - A Total Eclipse of the Cat
Flavour of Walls by Louisa Lander - Lord of the Porch Precinct
Two Cats a Sunstorm and Petal Skin by SP Singer - a moment of interspecies connection
A Tale of Two Kitties - It was the best of crimes
    70679821 by Brian - a moveable feast
3 Missing-Cat Poems by scraps - sad, but true

"We haz read ur pome. Whut part of NO CATKU was unclear?"
