Quote:Originally posted by JAYNEZTOWN: its over for Hollyweird but they have one more group of excuses for their pervert product nobody watches and their incompetence...writing strike, voice acting strikes, actor strike... Some gritty documentary are praised There are supposed to be some good documentary films but I like the escapism of movies, some on Russians dying Ukrainians dying might be too much for me or the Israeli Jews bombing Lebanon and Palestine, some films are getting good reviews giving voice to Gaza filmmakers while I avoid the depressing war political documentary films it is still Mostly foreign film for me Kids cartoons from California studios look as if their artists can no longer animated and they are too stoned or drunk to pencil or photoshop anything also Major US animation studios are injecting this weird disgusting political stuff for kids to watch, visually harassing them with weird politics. They are doing their best to keep other Studios out like HBO or Netflix or JApan or Bollywood, South Korean film makers and these foreign films sometimes beat Hollywood products I don't think the old boys club want another Japan Godzillia or One Piece or Demon Slayer beating them again. 2024 has been another of those years for the worst of Hollyweird, although I hear the Beekeeper was ok and some liked 'The Dead Dont Hunt' and 'Long Legs' 'Molli and Max in the Future' and the loony 'Hundreds of Beavers' Other to watch Dune-2 Wolverine Deadpool some liked Civil War Furiosa Mad Max the Aus / USA franchise product was supposed to be good but audiences didn't want to risk a Hollywood product. it has also been a good year for smaller independent American and European films, horror fantasy thriller stuff which seem to have mostly been blocked from having box office release due to movie politics Flow a Cat animation from Belgium, France, Latvia. 'Citizen of a Kind' a South Korean movie about stolen savings The Antique but political, deportation of Georgians from Russia Waves or in Czech 'Vlny' although political, 2024 Czech-Slovak historical thriller drama film I'm Still Here - a mother and activist searching for her missing husband congressman Rubens Paiva, during the Brazilian Military Dictatorship. South Korea 'Noryang Deadly Sea' Children of Las Brisas, three Venezuelan children from the impoverished neighborhood try to become professional musicians My Name is Loh Ki Wan, Korean Belgian You Are Not Alone: Fighting the Wolf Pack or 'No estás sola' The Promised Land a Danish movie Alienoid 2 Return to the Future another Korean film South Korea again with Badland Hunters Abyss or Avgrunden a story about a family and a mine Exhuma a movie Ghosts and Horror and Burials...South Korea again South Korean 12.12: The Day...but again like 'Civil War' maybe not the best year for an Assassination movie some say watch out for Indian Bollywood and Pakistani animation like The Glassworker others liked 'Goyo' a 2024 Argentine romantic drama but I won't watch it a Polish movie 'The Peasants' 2024 some liked it but its actually a 2023 film it got a release at the Toronto film festival and became popular on Netflix I have not watched the South Korean 'Dog Days' but people liked it, also 'The Flood' or 'The Great Flood', 'The Roundup Punishment' or 'Mission Cross' and 'Wonderland' are supposed to be good I am in two minds about Hollywood /Hollyweird ... I think it can enter full collapse but also save itself if movies like 'Furiosa' Wolverine and Deadpool or FNAF get good feed back and good reviews However Hollywood self sabotaged and did not promote FNAF Hollywood is now getting its ass kicked by small indie products and its ass kicked by other foreign studios in fact you could probably just pick a random South Korea movie on Netflix now and it will beat 98% of TheShit from Hollywood Quote:Originally posted by JEWELSTAITEFAN: But I do recall Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare.Complete shit, it was online for free, seen a few mins and I wouldn't even watch it free in HD the comedy seemed kinda crap maybe they said something about the Chosen People or Israel or how the 'USS Liberty Deserves to be Bombed' that made you happy? Metascore Mixed or Average https://www.metacritic.com/movie/the-ministry-of-ungentlemanly-warfare/ 55% almost unwatchable
