Hey everyone! I can't believe it's already the end of August because it's crazy how this month has flown by. Everyone is going back to school and the weather has definitely heated up, especially here in LA. I don't know about you, but the heat has been taking a toll on my skin so I wanted to share with you some of the new skincare products I've been using as well as a bunch of favorite lipsticks that I've been crazy about.
Hey everyone! Since it's officially the back-to-school season, I wanted to create a tutorial for a very quick, natural look that would be great for looking like yourself just better.
The "no makeup makeup" look has been very highly requested and I think the reason for that is because makeup itself can be a very intimidating concept, but everyone can appreciate the very basic steps from going bare-faced to naturally beautiful. The trick is thin layers, matte colors, and letting skin texture show through.
Check out the tutorial to get the no makeup look below!
Happy Monday! Today's MM is another polish I picked up recently from my Target Haul when I went to check out the Back-to-School cosmetic selections. I'm not going to lie, the Essie display has always been a bit of a weakness for me since they have such wonderful shades every time. This breezy teal color called Naughty Nautical really caught my eye. Is that glass-fleck I see? A teal I don't own? Obviously this was a no-brainer purchase.
Hey everyone! I recently did a really fun interview plus a bright neon makeup look on the ever-witty Jeff Klima of New Media Rockstars at my apartment. It was fun pulling out some of my favorite books, games, and of course makeup to share with you guys plus you'll also get a peek at my space so I hope you enjoy the interview and pics! Read the full interview here or click the image below.
See the video interview with Jeff's gorgeous drag makeup plus more pics after the jump!
Hey everyone! Today I wanted to share an eyeshadow set that is part of Too Faced's Fall 2013 collection, the Pretty Rebel palette. It was definitely the product that caught my eye the most from my visit to Too Faced's headquarters and contains ten gorgeous shades in both neutral and "going out" brights and darks.
Lets check out the swatches below!
Hey guys! For today's Manicure Monday I wanted to share a Maybelline Color Show polish I picked up recently during my Target haul which I posted on my Youtube channel. Lately I've been dying for an eye-searingly neon pink for Summer and hoped Pink Shock would fit the bill. This was my first Maybelline polish experience so I wanted to share my thoughts on this newly acquired color.
I'm frequently asked what inspires me to create makeup looks and if I ever run out of ideas. Honestly, makeup for me is so much more than just paint so it's easy to be inspired. It's passion, it's expression, and it's conveying your emotions and feelings on a canvas that is naturally animated. Makeup makes me want to grab beauty from everywhere and exude that feeling on a face. Today I want to share with you, in photos, a glimpse of my inspiration taken by a true artist, Kassia Phoy.
There are a few new releases that literally make my jaw drop and scream when I receive the package in the mail. To be completely honest, this was one of those moments. I had been hearing for years that Urban Decay was planning on revamping their lipsticks but I had no idea that they would go from their previous dagger-clad edgy design to the classy gunmetal bullet that is out now. Wowee.
There are 22 shades total of the creamy, uber-pigmented lipstick and you bet your pout that I've got swatches of each of them! Holy eye candy!

Manicure Monday: Etude House Juicy Cocktail Gradation Nails in Screwdriver Orange
Hey everyone! This week's Manicure Monday is another Etude House polish which actually comes in a set of 3 mini polishes. Used together the Etude House Juicy Cocktail Gradation Nails trio in Screwdriver Orange creates a cute, glittery gradient effect which is perfect for the Summertime. I personally adore peach and glitter so you know I was digging this one!
Hey guys! Today I wanted to share a few products with you that I've used until the items were completely cleaned out. Here in the blogging world, we like to affectionately call those our "empties." I always love seeing what other peoples' empties are because it either means the product was that good or that they used it long enough to know if it wasn't. Curious as to what mine are? Find out what my recent empties are below!
Today's Manicure Monday is the second Etude House polish I had mentioned in my last Monthly Beauty Favorites: Ice Cream Nails in Blue Mint #BL601. Similar to Grapefruit which I reviewed last week, this polish has the same adorable ice cream cone packaging and creamy, bright pigmentation. This turquoise blue is a color that I didn't have an exact dupe for in my collection so I was excited to try it out.
Hey everyone! I wanted to share with you some of my favorites from the last couple of months. A lot of these are my "return to makeup" products so they would actually be really perfect for newbies to makeup who want to start with some great go-to basics, or students who don't have time or money to get every color of every item. Gotta love that low-thought, high-impact makeup that's both flattering and easy to wear, right? ;)
