- Tip: Serve with 150g cooked brown rice per serving for an additional 3 points per serving (I used the WW Naan bread). shopping list
- Low fat cooking spray shopping list
- 200g lean steak cubed shopping list
- 1 onion sliced shopping list
- 1 green pepper (I don't like green I used orange) shopping list
- 4cm (1.5 inch) piece of fresh ginger, peeled and grated shopping list
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed (I grated and used 4 cloves) shopping list
- 1 teaspoon chili flakes (I used fresh chilis) shopping list
- 4 cardamom pods, seeds only ( I removed before eating - too fragrant for me) shopping list
- 2 teaspoons ground cumin shopping list
- 2 teaspoons turmeric shopping list
- 2 teaspoons ground coriander (cilantro) shopping list
- 3 tablespoons low fat plain yogurt shopping list
- 1 x 400g can chopped tomatos shopping list
How to make it
- Lightly coat a large lidded pan with low fat cooking spray and heat until hot. Add the meat and cook for 4-5 minutes until browned all over. Remove from the pan and set aside.
- Spray the pan again add the onion and pepper and stir fry for 5 minutes until beginning to brown.
- Add the ginger, garlic and spices. Cook for a further minute before adding the yogurt, the tomatos and finally the meat.
- Stir in 300ml of water, bring to the boil, cover and reduce heat. Leave to simmer for 1 hour until the meat is tender
