Barbecued Beef Brisket

- •1 beef brisket, about 3 to 4 pounds shopping list
- •1 large onion, chopped shopping list
- •1 1/2 cups beef broth shopping list
- •2 tablespoons steak sauce shopping list
- •1/3 cup ketchup shopping list
- •1/4 teaspoon cinnamon shopping list
- •1/4 teaspoon ground allspice shopping list
- •1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- •1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper shopping list
- •1 clove garlic, finely minced shopping list
- •2 tablespoons flour mixed with about 2 to 3 tablespoons of cold water shopping list
How to make it
- Place the beef brisket in the liner of the slow cooker and top with the chopped onion.
- In a bowl, combine the broth, steak sauce, ketchup, cinnamon, allspice, salt, pepper, and garlic.
- Pour over the beef and onions. Cover and cook on LOW for 8 to 10 hours.
- Pour liquids into a saucepan and bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
- Simmer briskly for 5 to 8 minutes to reduce by about one-third. Combine the flour with cold water and whisk until smooth.
- Pour into the simmering liquid and stir, cooking, until thickened. Serve sauce with the sliced beef.
